I'm in need of a replacement for datanksta1213, who failed to pick up his prod in Newbie 1706: Cocktail Party. This is a newbie slot, so anyone not currently in their first game can replace in. Preference will be given to newer players. The game is currently in Day 1, 6 pages long.

Hi I'm new to this site, this is my first post... I see that this thread is the queue for newbie games... I have played Mafia before but I am new to this site. I was wondering where I could find the time of day that this game starts, and then the dayphase end time and length of the day and night phases.

I would be very interested in playing here when I have the time and knowing the times helps me make that time

Apologies to everyone, I feel lost, I'm new to this site.

Welcome! It can take a few days for a game to start. The day phase will last 14 real life days and the night phase will last 2 real life days.

After you "/in", while you wait for a game to start, you could read some completed games to get a feel for what it's like.

I've played before on another site. I really like how it lasts for 14 full days here, that's awesome. And then a two day break. That's awesome.

I'm used to it being 24 hour day phase followed by 24 hour night phase. So I basically don't sleep for 24 hours and then send my night actions in and sleep

So how active would I have to be? Could I spend just a few hours every day and get some proper rest? (I feel like the way I usually play is affecting my health)

Is there a minimum amount of activity required? I am used to it so intense.

As a general matter, the minimum is one post every two or so days. Spending a few hours every day gets you a reputation for being a hyperposter (like me). I've played on a lot of forums. If you want to PM me with the sites you were on, I can talk to you about site meta prior to any game you'd be in.

Is it necessary that I talk about where I played? I kind of come here to escape that so I can experience a more pure gaming experience and less personal stuff. I hope I can just remain anonymous here (besides telling my best friend that I'm practicing here in my spare time). I don't mean to be rude or anything but if I could just keep it impersonal that would be excellent.

I'm sure I'll acidentally end up befriending people because I love people and I love socializing, but my plan is to be here for the gaming. I am not going to be rude to anyone, I'm always as polite as I can be, but I may seem a little cold and impersonal because I intend to be here predominantly to play Mafia.

It's great that I don't have to be so active. If I did spend just a few hours every day (that's underposting compared to what I am used to, I'm used to playing all day): would that 'hyperposting' be disallowed?

Nope. Hyperposting is allowed. Otherwise I'd be modkilled all over. And I do get avoiding the baggage. But you can still PM me if you're not asking about an ongoing. I love helping new players.

One of the firm rules on site is that you can only talk about an ongoing game in the game thread or any PT the game's moderator creates for the game. Talking about an ongoing game anywhere else is forbidden. It keeps games from being compromised by mistake.
