Hey its cool that you still have no idea why I'm suspicious of you. Feel free to continue not reading everything I say.In post 5618, itlepip wrote:Basically you are just being lazy and saying that any vote against someone that is scumreading you is OMGUS. Mirhawk's is OMGUS because the reason he gives for scumreading me is that I am scumreading him. TPP's, whether valid or not, is based on interactions with flipped scum.- Mirhawk

Piper, you have literally nothing to do with me not ending up lynched. You were absolutely egging on my wagon. In post 5619, The Pied Piper wrote:Notice how you're alive and my top suspect from yesterday is dead. I wasn't attacking, I was going through your reads because they suck and I wanted to see if I could set you on a better path; reads sucking don't make someone scum.
Why did you have a sudden urge to "set me on a better path" right before the deadline when I was about to be lynched?
What was your thought process here? Really, I want to know.
I think Mirhawk's town, but they're about to die. The most important thing for me to do in this situation is obviously to exhaustively rip all their reads apart so everyone else can see just how bad they are. That'll totally make everyone not lynch them.- Mirhawk

Effort is not indicative of alignment and I don't think you're stupid enough to think that's the case. And unless you're trying to say that Plot is incapable of emulating his towngame with his scumgame that's a stupid argument. In post 5620, The Pied Piper wrote:If the point of this argument to say that we wouldn't put this much effort in for obvious and immediate gain, then I suggest you read Plotinus's games or allow me to shore you Plotinus town posts.
If that is not the point of the argument, then what are you doing here other than being an ass?
My point is that I don't see a person going to this much effort without coming to some sort of conclustion in doing so.
By the way, why aren't you pushing any of your actual scumreads? And by you I mean YOU Nacho. Plots busy doing his iso map thing, but you're apparently doing nothing but bicker with me.- Mirhawk

I still use them, I just don't believe myself to be particularly good at looking for them. My point was rather that I find them frustrating in general, it doesn't really have much to do with the game.In post 5621, pistachi0n wrote:
How else are you supposed to find scum, then? What do you think is the most reliable tell? It's always easier for me to find scum when there's been a flip or two. I'm always terrified of leaving them when I'm scum, and I have a ton of difficulty finding them when I'm town. Cerb asked for my reads a little while ago, that's generally speaking the members of town that I think the scum team are hiding in.In post 5624, The Pied Piper wrote:And if you'd like me to phrase this in a less combative way, no we are not just trying to look for a vague idea of where the scum are and this is something that I feel is decently obvious since that's not something someone spends a significant amount of time looking for. I find your "I did what you did with 30 minutes and a spreadsheet!" comment to be intentionally insulting. If I have misinterpreted this, could you talk about what directions you've found from it because I haven't seen those directions through your posts today (all of your reads look exactly the same).
I don't have a problem with the way you're scumhunting. Rather then I'm noting that you appear to not actually be doing anything with the information your gathering.
Why would you ever think I'm being intentionally insulting? I mean it's not like I'm getting testy over the fact that you keep insinuating that my reads cant be trusted because I'm stupid and inexperienced. Or that I should stop questioning you because you're clearly a better player then me.- The Pied Piper

Also as much as I hate to admit it, I can't be in the end game. About a third of the town has scumreads on me and don't seem inclined to think about them.- Mirhawk

Well obviously yeah.In post 5631, The Pied Piper wrote:It's more productive when looking at objective data to try not to let those previous biases creep in or else there's no reason to look at that objective data in the first place. It's like if I was doing VCA and I called Dwlee scum every time he popped up in a group; if I am that confident about my reads, I don't need any of that in the first place.
I'm just saying I don't think its as easy as you're saying for someone to ignore their previous thoughts while rechecking. Bias is extremely difficult to eliminate.- The Pied Piper

Nobody? Though that's not really the point I was getting at.
I view seniors wagon as more of a symptom of my wagon falling apart more then anything else.
When my wagon fell apart at the deadline those votes needed somewhere to move to, the way the game has played out made seniors pretty controversial all game. That made them the only real viable wagon.
So sure, you were instrumental in getting the wagon together. But you never caused the situation that made their wagon the only option people had.

The only real thing stopping me from a TPP lynch has been other players' perspectives. I scumread the people wagonning on TPP, and townread the people wagonning FS, but just reading their posts, I honestly think TPP is more scummy. So maybe I have to reevaluate my perspectives on dwlee, dramonic,TOtalah, etc. Basically everybody. But I'm joining the TPP wagon, and crossing my fingers.
