I think proben claimed while not realizing that Innocent Child is confirmed by Mod. Mod has since checked in with a vote count and hasn't confirmed an Innocent Child in the game, much less proben being it. Conclusion: there probably isn't an Innocent Child, so proben has been caught out fakeclaiming. I see two possibilities:

1. He is scum. But this would be a dumb play because Town would surely notice the lack of Mod confirmation;
2. He is Town trying to attract the NK, but this would be a dumb play because scum would surely notice the lack of Mod confirmation.

No, I'm not seeing karnos as scummy atm - I like that he picked up on the proben slip but, as I said, he might be sheeping me there. I just had a shot at him because he tries hard over games to establish voting the #1 player on the list in RVS as part of a conscious attempt at creating meta. That's why I said it was "contrived".

Well part of the reason I had voted him was that it did look like he was trying too hard at the rvs thinging, voting and unvoting ranger

Still think karnos is a good vote. Making a big deal out of nothing (the claim) mixed in with the sheeping and the way he made sure to vote ranger first all feels incredibly scummy to me and I can't believe I'm the only one who's going to vote this

But why claim on page 1 while not asking the Mod to confirm it publicly? It lends some credence to the "joke" theory, but also to the "scum" theory, while making the "Town Innocent Child" theory look more unlikely.

Anyway, easy way to check:

Mod: please announce the policy for the current game re: timing of confirming a Town Innocent Child.
