I eliminated Meepo because he seems legitimately confused opposed to just stalling. So it was between IV and Mizzy who I believed to be steering the discussion in a way that seemed useless (see first few posts of game). Mizzy and IV both seem aggressive as town (I read Newbie 1702 while waiting for the thread to start, I read through some of IV's ISOs esp. parts of Newbie 1507). Mizzy has been ok so far (post #30 is ok, #36 seems in character even if the premise is silly). IV doesn't seem in character and he admitted he may have been so. I don't get post#27 at all. I had two pages to catch up on but I managed not to make a post like that while sleeping. In post 72, Simoyd wrote:@Lycanfire: I'm not sure if I'm reading this right. Can you clarify? Are you saying three people made posts leading the conversation, then you eliminated two through process of elimination? If not, what was Mizzy the third to do? I've read back in the thread and I'm totally lost. Maybe I'm stoopidIn post 46, Lycanfire wrote:Mizzy made a similar post, the third to do so.
Why not Meepo and Mizzy? Not Meepo because he is responding to pressure. That's just the way he chose to respond, and I don't disagree with the response on its own. IV had no meat in his post and I am hungry. Mizzy offered a lot more and seems more in character than IV is.

Let's look at some things I found interesting.
Grace
I don't think Grace is scum. Her reactions seem to me like newbtown frustrating/panicking/lashing out because they've just been put under pressure by the IC than anything else.
This doesn't look like scum to me.And yes, I'm nervous, that's why most of the things I've said so far make no sense, I'm just not used to be confronted that hardly. And sorry for the typos.
Meepo
Some of the bits coming from him are standard. Others I find questionable.
Why do you think it is suspicious? My first post was a joke reply to your joke posts. But the fact that you just don`t want to let that go is suspicious.
Here he answers Mizzy's question in bold. Why, though? It seems to me that it should be obvious Mizzy was trying to create a wagon on IV to get out of RVS, especially since he hasYour post is about something actually in game - the fact I was trying to get a wagon going.
I did not know you were trying to do soexplicitly stated so.
I don't like Meepo's posts because he seems excessively focused on the RVS stage(which I think we are well out of by now) and the general tone of his posts is in defending himself from Mizzy rather than actively trying to go out and find scum. I don't like that. I don't get the sense Meepo is trying to figure out the game at all. He has 12 posts in his ISO - a total of 11 are fluff or focused on subjects like RVS and "seriousness" of posts. The only post that I'd call actual looking for scum is #23, where he points out Grace contradicting herself. If we add in posts that even hint at the fact that he's searching for/attacking scum, we could add #37, where he attacks Mizzy kinda noncommitally, and more importantly doesn't follow up on it at all. His further interactions with Mizzy doesn't feel like a town interacting with his only stated scumread - they are light hearted and full of offtopic content.
InnocentVillager
Let's get this clear about this meta. I don't know his meta. I don't trust people in this game to tell or show me what his meta is/was. Even if I had incontrovertible proof that his meta was to be "eccentric and aggressive", I wouldn't vote him or scumread him based on that. In other words, I'm completely disregarding anything Mizzy has said so far about his meta when deciding how I feel about him.
So, howdoI feel about him? Honestly, I'm absolutely null, and currently I'm convinced that anyone who reads him anything but null is:
1) Scum making up a read
2) Misguided town who feels they have to have a strong read on everyone
3) Confused
He's literally fluffing his way through the game, and not in the way Meepo is doing, in a way that acknowledges the fluff and attributes it to exhaustion from previous games + mobile posting + vacation. That to me is completely NAI. Any talk of InnocentVillager at this point is a distraction and if you're town you should focus on the people that matter. If IV is still shitting around 50 pages in, then we can examine him.
Mizzytastic
Post #30 is bad. It has a lot of questions, but there's no meat in it. It's just jabbing and poking people with porcupine quills. There aren't any questions that strike to the heart of someone, they all feel very shallow. That plus the needlessly exhaustive post by post analysis makes me feel like it's just there to make Mizzy look active and making an effort. I'm not too impressed with the meta attack on IV either. After this, he engages in a long and drawn out conversation about irrelevant details with Meepo. Despite bringing up several reasons for Meepo being scum, he ends up voting IV.
I have a bad feeling about this slot and I don't like the way he's setting about "scumhunting". VOTE: MizzytasticThere's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.

UNVOTE: .
However, I didn't do the meta attack. That came from Lycanfire. I was just clarifying because it sounded like innocentvillager thought the attack was for what his meta was, not because Lycanfire thought that meta was lacking. My vote is one from RVS I later said I now consider serious in 30, before the whole meta thing even came up - even in the later context of him being busy I still don't like the idea that an SE would find a quick start to the game surprising.
I wanted to see whether or not other people felt Meepo could have been read as being serious. To me it did but if I was the only one then I'd have to concede that I probably overreacted. I know I tend to take stuff seiously that isn't meant as such. Now that I have an answer that at least some other people aren't sure about it i'm happy to
VOTE: Meepo
Are some of my questions shallow? Probably - doesn't mean I'm not happy with them though. They are what I was thinking as I read back up, and I wanted to keep discussion going as people seemed to be trying to pull us back into RVS, so I was happy to question anything in hopes of an interesting response. There are, however, some I still think are actually quite important.
For one the whole discussion at the start seemed to be based around me accusing Meepo which I never did, and I don't get why no one picked up on that. It was page 1 and no one checked this? Especially now that you've also said I made a meta attack on IV when that was someone else.
For another I really don't think the rest of Grace's behaviour fits with that of someone who comes into a game trying to make themselves look smart. The act was dropped all too quickly. So I want to know what Grace hoped to gain from the whole endeavour, and why it felt like she was reiterating not being smart and her newness a whole lot more.Get to know a Mizzy

Talking of Lycanfire, Accountant, what do you think of 46?. Based on your criticism of me it seems like you might have been thinking that this post came from me as well as 30. If you didn't make that mistake then this post has a lot of stuff you've criticised me for, and it doesn't even get mentioned. Why?Get to know a Mizzy

Because I made what I thought an obvious joke post that Mizzy latched on as hope of scumread on me which means he either didnt understand that it was a joke or he is scum or he is paranoid.
Here he answers Mizzy's question in bold. Why, though? It seems to me that it should be obvious Mizzy was trying to create a wagon on IV to get out of RVS, especially since he hasYour post is about something actually in game - the fact I was trying to get a wagon going.

This is my first game from scratch (as I was the replacement in my first game) , and I am not used to people randomly making wagons which I guess you imply is normal? Also his statement was accompanied with not just 1 but a whole 2 smileys! If that is not an indication of sarcasm i don`t know what is.

I don`t have enough information to start scumreading anyone yet , because if i do it unjustly I would be seen as a scum.
Also don`t see anything wrong with light hearted content at the beggining of the game though.
In fact you seem too aggressive with such weak arguments. Figure out the game? It hasn`t even been two days. You may not like me but my actions so far were not scummy at all.
And with this post you touched my suspicion slightly but I guess you could just be rushing for a clue.

Focusing on the meta element of my post 46 is negligent at best and scummy at worst. My point was that discussion was being centralized on a group of 3 people already attacking each other over what were nonsensical posts. Hanging back and watching people dig themselves a hole is only town if there's reasons to see someone's reaction. I sure didn't want to see analysis #10 of jokepost because it won't find scum.
I don't. It was closer to what I expected than IV.In post 82, Mizzytastic wrote:Lycan, you seem to be relying a lot on meta. I dunno about IV but I know you've not seen my scum game because I've not seen my scum game. What makes you think this is town aggression and not just me aggression?
I was hoping to be pushed back by now. IV said he didn't have time to post much, left a low content post that I didn't like. I called it and he spoke about being burnt out and hasn't been helping us any since. In post 90, Accountant wrote:Hey Lycan I feel like you're just sitting around and whaling on someone who can't fight back. Meepo screams town to me, whereas yourself and Simoyd have been contributing positively. I'm having trouble reading RC, but I'm reading a lot of 'noise' from Mizzy and Grace in general that my scumdar isn't feeling very well calibrated right now-I think she's more town than the others but if I didn't know that RC was a Titus alt I'd be guessing a Not_Mafia alt (say little, accuse lots). Mizzy went from "you're usually aggressive so what's the problem" post#51 to "[Lycanfire] you're relying a lot on meta" post#82 after your post#78. My original problem with the direction of the game withstanding I'm reconsidering my read. I don't hate or like her.
Grace is interesting. Nearly all of her posts contain a personal element to them. I don't think this is newbtown or newbscum in itself. It's noise and it's complicating my ability to read her until something more solid comes from her.
Pants hasn't posted. I can't get anything besides null from them.- Simoyd
