I think proben claimed while not realizing that Innocent Child is confirmed by Mod. Mod has since checked in with a vote count and hasn't confirmed an Innocent Child in the game, much less proben being it. Conclusion: there probably isn't an Innocent Child, so proben has been caught out fakeclaiming. I see two possibilities:

1. He is scum. But this would be a dumb play because Town would surely notice the lack of Mod confirmation;
2. He is Town trying to attract the NK, but this would be a dumb play because scum would surely notice the lack of Mod confirmation.

Can you tell me why you thought that post warranted a wagon on ChipBuddy, but this post does not warrant you even mentioning Karnos?

This post did not concern Karnos to me in any way, and I'm unsure where you're getting that from. Chip was scummy because he's the proverbial "that guy" as in the guy who ends the RVS stage because he misreads a joke and finds someone scummy. He took something that was a simple joke, attested by another, and begun tunneling.

1. I didn't end RVS - the bit in red clearly shows that Dunstrall ended RVS. Again, you should have taken more time over your catch-up and given better quality contributions. If you're Town, that is.
2. Karnos also comes out of RVS focussed on ploben and the so-called "IC joke", so why vote me and not him?
3. Dunstrall's "RVS is over boys everyone vote karnos" is better than my push on ploben. At least I had the "IC joke" as a basis. As Dunstrall admits later, he had absolutely no reason at that point to go after karnos.
4. What does it matter if the jokiness of the "IC joke" was "attested by another"? If both ploben and that other are both scum? Or even if that other merely read it a different way?
5. Did you not read my post on the purpose of RVS? Town!You really ought to, because you clearly don't understand it.

Bulletproof Ben - can't read, no posts. statistically more likely to be town than scum.
Florestan - probably town that is just coming to some wrong conclusions, but could be scum
duppin - weird RVS vote planting and refusal to move, lack of recent posts. seems scummy to me.
ploben - either scum or very stubborn town who refuses to admit an error. uses a lot of non-logic and contradicts himself a lot, but I am starting to wonder if he is just dumb town
Dunnstral - one of two types. either very arrogant town that thinks he has everything figured out when he obviously doesn't, or scum trying to control the game in a very aggressive manner. if scum, I could easily see him turn on ploben on day 2 after i flip town. If town, he will probably convince himself he was right about ploben and go for chip, sinking the game for town if chip flips town. dangerous player for town either way.

The IC joke thing keeps getting blow out of proportion.

Here is an analogy-

Now, for a seasoned veteran like Dunnstral, maybe ploben's joke was super obvious. My point was, and always has been, it still might have fooled a newbie who didn't know better. Ploben might have been a newbie who didn't know better. The response to that is "well, scum wouldn't fake claim, because it's not worth getting lynched after the fake claim is disproven" - Yet this whole game proves that is NOT the case, as long as your fake claim is fake enough to be passed off as a joke, otherwise ploben would have been lynched.

Yes, I thought it was a dumb scum strategy that maybe the scum would out the IC and get away with it without being counter lynched by feigning it being a joke.

I'm starting to think you haven't really read through the thread. I mean, it was well in excess of 600 posts at that point. Lot of reading to do at work. Must have been tempting to skim, eh?

The reason I say that is because you seem to be ignorant of how the "IC joke" thing developed. I certainly haven't accused everyone who interpreted it as a joke. But I HAVE been suspicious of those who strongly and persistently kept up the joke defense right from early in the game. Why? Because it would have been far Townier to just let ploben deal with the pressure for a while, and see how he reacted. Trying to hose it down right away looks scummy to me, especially since the only active wagon was on karnos, and that most because karnos also picked up on the "IC joke" as being a slip. What was the urgency in hosing it down? Day lasts for 14 days. Plenty of time to let it play out. So, yeah, Dunstrall and duppen come out of that looking scummy to me. duppen more so, btw.
