in all honesty, this explicitly reads like she's attempting to line up a TSQ/Nina dichotomy when there's no good reason for it - I don't really have any idea of what her thought process behind this conclusion actually was.

kay so
i found both nina and tsq scummy individually (p much just based on the feeling i got from their posts but if pushed i could prolly find specific things about them i didn't like)
and i wrote up my reads thing but wrote about tsq almost last and realised it didn't really fit for tsq + nina to be scum together based on their interactions but i wrote reads for people individually before considering which scumteams would make most sense
but i had exam to study 4
so i was like oh well i'll sort it out after that
i just------fucuckckkcing dog just jumped almost on my face wtf
where was i oh yes so i just left it as it was but made a note that i didn't think they were scum 2gether

nina, gameshow/interview/whatever post was entertaining but uh, the reasoning for the reads was basically just gut - got anything else to back em up now? tone reads awkwardly though could just be newbness i guess... still atm = = = nullscum

this read looks flat-out fake. the major reason is, from what I can tell, lala seems to be a player who forms reads heavily based on tone/gut (I could be wrong on this, if I am correct me), and she literally _in the same post_ handwaved at least one read because of "idk, gut". I could see an argument such as "your reads are bad", but she explicitly fucking calls her out for "not having anything else to back up her reads"

well yeah but i don't list tone/gut as my reasons for every read without ever trying to figure out why posts strike me as bad/scummy?

- this is a much easier callout to make as scum than town since it's the kind of thing that _looks_ nice and is objectively true, i.e. difficult to question, as opposed to something that you have to argue and back up. I also take issue with the last sentence because there's nothing specific there - usually when town have issues with tone they have at the very least something vaguely specific to back it up (even something such as Spiffeh using town games as a reference), but here there is none. again, it's a stance that is much easier to take and requires less commitment.

ehh this is something i tend to get called out a lot on in mafia i guess. tbh i dont try to be careful about what i'm writing and don't really notice if it comes out sounding very flip floppy because it's pretty much just what's going on in my head

I could probably vote lala. despite being stream-of-consciousness, her catchup was actually fairly content-light

that's just my posts every game tho

and didn't have much in terms of original content.

i didn't find that there was much for me to comment on that hadn't already been said - even things i thought of that hadn't been mentioned before when i responded to posts before reading subsequent posts, then it turned out other people said very similar things to me in those subsequent posts

actually, now that I read it again, I have all sorts of issues with 218 (her reads list), in terms of hedged language/scum being careful with what they're saying.

ummm hedged language i gueeeess, like i said in my previous post ppl usually seem get frustrated at me cos i'm indecisive, but def not the second point

the most obvious one is the read on TBG "TBG seems town but I'm still going to be wary of him for ... no specific reason", which is something that I attribute to scum looking like they're trying to be logical and consider all of the possibilities.

yes i said that because his posts all look great and analytical and towny and whatev but i can't shake this feeling i get from his posts that's kinda ??hm??

This is mostly being kept in my head, so I don't have an exact order worked out.

I still say the D1 flip should be on a player who holds charisma.
Normally I'd include myself in that list if not for the slight issue of me being conftown later in the game.
Of the players currently in the game, I would say the ones with charisma are {Katsuki, pie, Spiffeh}.
Having one of them have their alignment confirmed, be it town or scum, on D1 would be

immensely

helpful, because, again, it cannot (presumably) be interfered with.
Flipping other players on D1 is a waste in my opinion.

We already have one: me.

I'd rather have someone I consider at least as threatening as I am confirmed.

And no offense to the nine players I didn't mention, but when weighing a combination of town game

plus

scum game, there's three players, and only three, that I know to be very strong as both alignments, outside of myself. (Well, me being good as scum is debatable, but that's beside the point.) Those players are Katsuki, pie, and Spiffeh. beeboy would have been included had he not replaced out.

I don't feel like you're as much as a target until you're confirmed, and I don't think you've disclosed exactly when that will happen except sometime after D1, which is fine. But, say we flip pie and she's confirmed blue. Doubtful you'll be killed until you're actually confirmed, which means Pie is more likely to be the N1 kill. I feel like that would be a wasted flip as we would only have had her for a Day.

Do I remember you saying you had reservations about her, or something to that effect?

Also, I don't hold the same confidence in pie being town as everyone else seems to, which gives me a DARN good reason to want a pie reveal.

I want pie flipped. If scum, then good. If town, even better.

either way ranger's the only one who wants to flip pie with the main intention of confirming her as town
