@Karnos, The point is that I have the most information out of all townies alive, because I'm the only player who knows my own affiliation. This knowledge necessitates that Players X,Y and Z are definitely out to kill me for a reason other than legit scum hunting, therefore I simply need you to know what I know in order for us to win. It's not a matter of me being infallible or not, it's that I have something you need to know.

Let's work from the assumption that I'm town, now who wants to defend Podo/Trans/Maru?

I fully expect people to defend them by taking issue with the assumption that I'm town, and it's probably going to be some tryhard like Murdercat here. I don't have the time or motivation to deal with that sort of bullshit therefore I want a flip and someone else to deal with it for me.

A) Once you die, if you flip town, everyone in the game now has as much information as you have the entire game, plus what they gain over the night and during day two. So they can evaluate your wagon on their own, and will have more information to go on than you will have had at the time of your flip. Your reads are still fallible, and it's possible that the remaining players won't come to the same conclusion as you because they don't have the same bias you do (toward people voting you).

B) I'm aware that you flipping town would make me look worse, because now I've pushed you harder than anyone else in the game. So either I'm bad scum, drawing a target on my own back by pushing your mislynch so hard, or I'm town who thinks I'm voting scum. I know that you believe the former, but if you want us to work from the assumption that you're town for the case of a hypothetical, how about you try working from the assumption that I am. You have literally given me no logic to believe you are town. There was a case made against you which you have ignored. All you've done is self-vote (which is a gambit I'm tired of seeing), and throw shit at people who are scumreading you. Can you not see how town would see that as flailing scum?

C) You're hypothetical only works if both Maru and I are scum together. If only one of us were scum, either of us would have joined the counter wagons existent on eachother because it's an easier mislynch. If I were scum, I could have said "Maru's response was bad. I'm starting to think Smith is town," and moved my vote onto the wagon with inertia that looks like it might go through. Maru could have done the same for me. But we didn't. So either we're both scum refusing to lynch eachother, or we're town who legit read you as scum.

So let's assume that Maru and I are scum together and you are town. We are forcing through a controversial mislynch, on the knowledge that doing so will draw attention to both of us. We've been too coordinated all day. Our connection with eachother is too obvious. We are also the leading wagons. One of us probably gets lynched, or at least investigated in response to you flipping town. One of us will die, and then the other one does the next day. It's a two-for-one, which is terrible. So honestly, how likely do you think it is that Maru and I are scum buddies, drawing attention to ourselves with a mislynch, working together incredibly openly on day one?

So Maru and I probably aren't scum together (because we are working too openly on a mislynch, assuming you are town, and in general throughout the day), and it's almost certain that exactly one of us can't be scum (because the scum would have joined the counterwagon on the town). The only option left that I consider probable from a town perspective is that we both are town, with actual scumreads on you.

I'm actually just working through the hypothetical you're talking about, and explaining how you're clearly wrong. You assume that Maru, Transcend, and I are scum (working from the assumption that you flip town), and it's just wrong. I don't think it's a coincidence that two of your three scumreads are counterwagons to you.

You haven't responded to the case that was made against you, and you are either a bad player because of how wrong your reads are, or you're scum trying to deflect onto the two counter wagons that exist right now.

People on my or Maru's wagons, you should probably just pick one, and take it to L-1. I already made the argument for how we're almost definitely the same alignment, (if one of us were scum, we would have joined the other's counterwagon regardless of Smith's alignment), so it shouldn't matter that much. Maru is V/LA, so putting him up is probably just going to waste our clock. So probably just vote me.

One of us has content that explains their logic and reads. One doesn't.
One of us has cooperated with other players in the game to accomplish things. One hasn't.
One of us is town, and I'm pretty sure the other one is scum, but hey, maybe I'm wrong, and this has actually been TvT, and Smith is just a huge liability to the town. Smith has terrible reads (they're all confbias, and have no real logic), Smith plays with AtE (which is a means of controlling town, not cooperating with them), and Smith is probably scum.

Do you mean because I'm trying to get town to consolidate their votes? That's not a gambit. You and I are the only valid lynches for the day. They should be consolidating on one of the two of us so we can move on. I want town to come back into the thread and cooperate. That's not a gambit.
