Being a Mafia Goon and actually having an ability is no fun though technically possible. See games one and two for the general idea. I'll find the links for you if you can't find them.
Generally if you have an ability you will know, except it may not do what you expect it do.

I'm not sure if I conveyed my question effectively enough - If you, the mod, told me I was mafia, can I know 100% that it's true?
Likewise, if you told me I'm town, can I know 100% that it's true?
