Honestly, all 4 of us are probably town and making a bunch of noise, making it easy for scum to stay under the radar.

no, I thought they were scum until you came along and started wk-ing them. I mean they could be town but I find it hard to believe you're also town because the play they made was awfully scummy. And if someone was defending them then they are probably town that no one's going to trust.
Questioning speed wagons isn't necessarily scummy. At the same time, speed wagons aren't always on a town player.
Therefore, assuming the speed wagon must be a scum-led wagon isn't necessarily right.
