I'm really conflicted on this game. it was supposed to be a pilot of the setup but i don't think that we got anything particularly useful regarding the setup because of the lack of lynches or "normal" day progression removing a suspect a day.

One of towns biggest mistakes were the people blatantly claiming not firefighter. Though we accidentally binked ff on n1 anyways

Panther usually has more drive/aggression as town.

this is true. I could have imitated that more, but I just didn't need to. I was being townread left and right at minimal effort and that effort level fit in with the rest of the apathetic thread so it didn't look abnormal...just looked like it was 'one of those games'

also, I'll reiterate it was made easier by kappy goating in twlight

it's a good set up

I played out a lot of the potential scenarios in scum chat at one point one post

so I like the amount of ambiguity faced by scum. some games are bad simply bc scum have 0 to little ambiguity surrounding roles and night actions whereas town is in the dark

It'd be even more interesting as a 10v3 13er imo. but that's slightly more townsided I think? just based on there being more correct primes needed to win and more lynches that could potentially kill an already primed player

obviously scum's best EV is to only have to ignite once rather than twice. haven't played with the math on a 13er but I might just run it for fun over in my stomping grounds

Yes kappys effort there helped a lot. That said if anyone has advice for solving the apathy I'd love to hear it. I tried for a long time and eventually just kinda gave up on getting anything useful to work with and started venting my frustration, which probably wasn't helpful but at that point it didn't seem to matter anyway *shrugs*

Yeah sorry I'd figured you had an issue w rc and came in as a sub to try it out when he didn't know it was you. I don't think I had a right to step into that the way I did. In my defense I actually was drunk and at poker night tho so judgement wasn't my strong suit at the time.

I'll also admit I suspected you because I was so utterly different from the two times you saw me as wolf (and the one as neutral - iirc you'd seen me as a asari already at that point) that I had a hard time believing you really thought this was my scum game. Then again I thought the same of ranger so lol me I guess.

It did not.

I did during that time-frame talk to Llama about calling the game off. ultimately, it was decided to give it one last shot to fill the three open slots within 3 days. the game would have been called if that didn't happen.

Fwiw I think the role should be revised to be compulsive

I.e. If they don't submit, their target is randed

Bc I can't think of any instance where it's pro town to not act on someone. And therefore not using the action is anti-wincon

I don't always think actions should be compulsive. But if you're the only town PR and an integral part of the setup, holstering is downright bad and a wee bit game throwing imo

Wrt setup, I think it was town sided though I always say that lol. Presuming pr cover is held (something town failed at horrifically, and that wasn't just dgb's fault), town can ML three times without lock win for the wolves (wolves need to roll the dice on n3 if there were two primes on non stumped players, w win not assured). That's a lot of breathing room for a town that, you know, bothered to lynch.

I'll also note that if people won't be around for EOD they need to make that clear ahead of time; I expected peow to be around EOD and was TWICE surprised at the non participation at those two key moments. And the over-reaction to the non lynches by lylo quick lynching was a particularly undisciplined play, and one that was mainly town driven.

As for the rest, by and large I left it all in thread. Both the good and the bad. I won't pretend that this was a good game, but hopefully the next one I play w you guys will be. I'll chat more if ppl want, otherwise take care all.
