Well, it's a low hanging fruit. Sex jokes are to immature conversations what cheese is to pizza. It just doesn't taste the same without it and when you have to stop and think whether you should take another bite, the enjoyment of eating is disrupted.

But I am trying to understand the other side, so can anybody explain to me why people get offended by sex jokes so much? Even if they're not directed towards people in question.

Its probably the fact that we've had a pedophile on this site and people will do anything they can to prevent something like that happening again. Adults speaking with sexual language with minors around could understandably unnerve some people and make them uncomfortable.

Then the solution would be to make a PG chat and a +18 (or 21) chat.

I don't think the mods have stated anything about possibly doing so or not yet, so there's no big issue there yet. The change to the lobby is fine.

If the majority feels that way, I'll adjust but I just wish there was another solution than restricting one group to satisfy the other. But that's democracy for ya.

I would rather we just kick Dwlee out of site chat personally.

Based on reading some of these comments, the no context quotes thread should also not exist in its current format?

Yeah I was just thinking this too. Not just because it's off color but because some of the posts are quotes of content from speakeasy linked to user names, which sort of goes against the point of speakeasy to be all private stuff. Maybe it should just be moved to speakeasy

On an unrelated note, I've moved things around so that global announcements are no longer put into a mafia forum where editing, etc. isn't allowed (this was only really a problem if you used ego post to get to it. If you accessed it through another forum, it'd use those permissions).

The biggest benefit (to my eyes) is that clicking the "go to first unread post" should now work, but we'll see.

Nope, it still doesn't work as intended despite your changes.
