That's a good point, actually.
Working on a reread of Carey and associations with Carey today, we'll see how that comes out.Last edited by SnarkySnowman on Sat Aug 27, 2016 4:26 am, edited 2 times in total.“Of course it's my fault. There's no one else here who could be responsible for anything.”- Ümläüt

Meanwhile, though, does anyone really think Tier's vote on the Carey wagon on Day 1, at a point when Lowell was at L-1 and he had already stated that
and thus would have been completely blameless for being on the Lowell wagon, has any plausible scum motivation behind it? By doing this and then actively pushing people to hammer, as scum he would be hard-bussing his partner on D1 and committing to bluffing his way through three days alone, dodging suspicion, PoE, and an unknown collection of town PRs. This is not a strategically sound choice for scum.In post 288, TierShift wrote:Also lowell has been a piece of trash

Okay, great albeit lucky catch for day 1.
I really do not understand people voting me as I lead a deadline flashwagon on scum, who was basically not scumread by anyone before. As umlaut is saying, scum powerbussing a buddy day 1 in an unknown setup with an unknown amount of clears any given day is akin to suicide. I am not the type of player who puts his fate in the hands of a lucky setup or the likes, and I feel BBT should knkw. If there is scum on the wagon, I think it's omega throwing up scum theater with carey but that seems not very likely.
More likely, scum is off the wagon as there was not enough reason for scum to bus yesterday, as umlaut indicated.
This means scum should be in BBT, pist and lowell.
I realised overnight that BBT is town despite his resistance to the carey wagon.
Gives me a nice PoE pool of 2.
Pist, why vote lowell?- TierShift

Tier, you could easily have been bussing and not expected the Carey wagon to take off.
Lowell was already at L-2, so if anyone wanted to vote a lurker they could have chose Lowell. You openly admitted it was another lurker wagon which basically discredited your own vote and threw shade on your own wagon (hoping it wouldn't take off?). Scum!Tier would not have expected the Carey wagon to grow as it did and it would have been a safe distancing attempt for late-game had you pulled it off.
Also, why am I town?Meta this. Meta that. Meta Everything. Meta is not a good scum-hunting tool. PEOPLE CAN MANIPULATE THEIR META. Stop it. Stop. It. Now.- TierShift

Okay, after lycan's stated support for a carey wagon in 300 I could see that the carey wagon could actually be happening. Umlaut provided me with a safe opportunity to join a growing accountant wagon, which would have been a really easy vote to justify. I could also have joined accountant on lycan.
Furthermore, I also did provide sound reasons for a carey lynch, mainly the information it would deliver, and I stated it would deliver more information than a lowell lynch, which is undeniably true. Look at early day 1 positions on carey for proof. I was also in a position where I had multiple people following me and thinking I was town, namely umlaut and accountant.
Therefore, I had both good reasons to suspect my preferred lynch going through and safe opportunities to jump off and stopping an inflating bus wagon.
So no, i do not get at all how that could have been a failed distancing attempt.- TierShift

If carey was your buddy and you would have known the rules you would have hammered him for towncred. In post 356, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:Also, why am I town?
Had you not known the rules you would not have made it obvious you were around in 327 and just hoped for dl to fall in time.
There are also definitely other reasons for you being town.- BlueBloodedToffee

Tbh I really wanted Accountant but I wanted to play chicken because I knew about the plurality lynch. By this point Accountant hadn't revoted and Carey was going to be lynched anyway, so I put my vote on Carey to see if anyone would flip out and pull their vote. Carey's partner could have put Tiershift to l-2 hoping nobody knew about plurality with Carey l-1 hammering it before deadline. This never happened. In post 351, Ümläüt wrote:Meanwhile, though, does anyone really think Tier's vote on the Carey wagon on Day 1, at a point when Lowell was at L-1 and he had already stated that

"Why Accountant?" turned into "why not me?". I can't come up with a good reason for Accountant, so I thought what would happen if I had been shot instead. I'd hope people wouldn't wait a week for Lowell to post and do some nka which would lead to "why Lycanfire". Why not someone else on the wagon? The thing is, with Accountant as NK we can't ask ourselves that, so I began to suspect scum on the wagon. In post 355, TierShift wrote:
