I just really think this feels like the hiplop I've seen before in other games, and he's even more motivated and is trying harder than in the other games I've played with him too. He really seems like he's trying to actually find and lynch scum and it just feels really, really town to me.

i do not know a single person that can read snarky
i do know many people who have been convinced that this is the moment that they can, that this is the time they finally can stare into snarky's soul and expose him as scum

There's a difference between promising a catch-up and then not delivering and saying you're caught up -x number of pages when you're not.
There's also a difference between that and feigning outrage when you get called out on it.
If you'd come back to the game and been like "eh sorry yeah I did miss things during my catch-up" then I would maybe be re-evaluating, but you're literally digging your heels in and selectively throwing shade and it just feels dishonest.

last time i played with snarky he said he read the whole game in about 17 minutes and then showed a complete lack of awareness on the rest of the game except for ~5 posts before his readslist

and yeah i can get that him lying about something like this and then when being called out on lying digging his heels in and being more ridiculous is frustrating, but, again, i don't think it's particularly alignment indicative because it's snarky. there's plenty of room for you on this michael jordan wagon, though.

This is not a bad reaction. It is probably the most natural of the reactions I saw. Like he has said, FB is known for gambiting. There was no reason to 100% believe or deny the guilty, the only way to know if FB was telling the truth was for him to fully claim. These posts and DS's further explanation/defense of his thought process here all align with how I'd expect someone who's both played and hydra'd with FB to react.

+1 here because I find it odd that DiamondSentinel is accepting SnowStorm's assertion that DiamondSentinel said what he said in these two quoted posts because he thinks Firebringer is a habitual gambiter. To me it seems like he said what he said in these two posts because he doesn't want a quicklynch on an uncomfirmed guilty.

Hello this is Zulfy from a different point in time and space. DiamondSentinel does say that Firebringer gambits in another post, but I still find it odd that he doesn't clarify which is his primary point.

And he turned out to be exactly right. Firebringer does not have a guilty on Spiffeh.

His play in the game has, in general, been disruptive and non-productive. His reads are relatively static, and he doesn't seem to take into consideration new information.

I haven't been really looking at that but I will.

Plus he just says a lot of incredibly dumb shit that I wouldn't expect town to say on questioning fairly fundamental theory points
