Voting and Lynching:

Minor confession - N made this topic but i didn't have permission so i tried to split it, meaning the split topic was visible in the private topic section for like 3 minutes, but it was down near the bottom (5th October ish) and I don't think anyone saw it before I lynchboxed it.

I apologise, but might be worth keeping in mind.

Rules are fine, Roles are normal, one isn't whitelisted but basic enough, role pm's are fine.

Balance

11 vs 4 is seriously rough. Town have ~3 meaningful PR's, where the use of the doctor and roleblocker is hampered by the existance of a two shot strongman. Scum get a better deal on the PR's really, which can't be the point given you made their team already seriously large. I feel you are so far off that to get ballpark in a decent spot, you'd have to turn the mafia strongman into a vanilla townie, and look at it from there.

Mafia Factional Back-up should just be called Mafia Universal Back-up.

Well I figured re balance.

I made the setup, took a look at it, and I was like "man how do you 11v4" but pushed it in anyway because I was like "lol RNG will solve this for me"

How about if I substitute one VT to a neapolitan and change the backup to a goon?

I think the only way to stay close to the original is to go to 12:3. Maybe drop the Doctor, drop the Mafia Back-up and change the JoAT's Watch into a Cop ability (Watcher + IC is something you very much don't want in games however much you water down the two roles)? That seems reasonable to me.

I'm with CES. If you'd stick with 11:4, the powers would have to change very drastically (ie, removing whatever the scum have, and adding town power from where you are). Going to 12:3 lets you keep the cool interactions you wanted.

I still think scum will win in this setup the majority of the time. The only good special town has is the Jack of all Trades. The doctor and roleblocker are directly countered by a scum special.

I feel like at most one scum special would be appropriate against the level of power town has.

I'd say it's still scumsided. The neapolitan helps. The deputy isn't going to take over his role, right?

Going on that, I'd advise getting rid of the strongman. The town doctor and even-night roleblocker have bad synergy and the roleblocker is limited use.

Deputy won't take over his role and is there for red herring. (I love those.)
If I'm getting rid of strongman, I could replace it with a rolestop.

Rolestop is considerably stronger than a strongman.
I think it's probably balanced as is or making the strongman into a goon.

I'd either remove the Strongman or weaken it to something like N3 Strongman.
