I'd say scum are around 70-80% to win. I don't think this town is capable of solving, and town power is almost entirely gone at this point.

To be fair: the town's ever so SLIGHTLY weaker than it should be, because the scum's power was ever so SLIGHTLY able to counter literally every single town role with perfect usage (which more or less happened), but we're talking...like. A 5% margin here. (So, maybe 55-45 scum/town.) Town has only themselves to blame for lynching literally their strongest PR (doctor--the role which most concerned us as reviewers for overpowering the town) and one of their only investigatives. Like, the scum did well N1, but otherwise it's been purely town fail after town fail and that was the town failing, not so much the scum succeeding. Just them making derpy decision after derpy decision.

This is a pretty standard town in terms of what power they have at their disposal. Yet for some reason, the town this game went "OMG we so OP!!!" and decided inexplicably that their own PRs couldn't all possibly be town. That's not something we could anticipate as reviewers, because this is a pretty damn standard town in terms of what power they have at their disposal! Like, lynching one of their own PRs is possible in a game I suppose, but two? Especially in a row? With the possibility of a third to come? It's simply...a failure of epic proportions on every level.

eh, debatable. would certainly have narrowed down the POE, but at the same time, if the setup was just:

2-shot follower
doctor
JOAT (bp that must be activated / gs / jk)
2 vanilla neighbors (totally useless PR wise btw - claiming neighbor isn't even slightly clearing)
vs
3 goons

that's pretty balanced by MS standards. tracker is a super mediocre town power, and follower > tracker, but 2-shot nerfs it back to being AROUND as good as tracker.

town's power is also super limited late game; the only PR that can really impact late game is doctor, and it's not super likely to actually stop TWO kills, which is what's needed to really make a difference.

and scum got day chat without being dependent on an encryptor

adding a 1-shot UB and a full scum JOAT didn't really change the balance dynamics.

Site meta is that towns NEED a lot of power because towns are really dumb and lazy. This game did nothing to disprove the notion.

it's a self-defeating notion and part of the intrinsic problem with the state of play around here, imo

I have suddenly become extremely grateful for rolling VT 10/13 of my first games (even though I had some issues / growing pains with keeping getting it)
