The chance of it actually being a scumslip was slim, but what I was curious about is at worst it IS a scumslip and at best it says he thinks town have reasons to lie in a mass flavorclaim, or any massclaim at all and that needs to be addressed now rather than later. Town have no reason to lie. At all.

I don't see scum motivation, but I believe townreads on him are misguided. He performed a reaction test, but he made it clear and dropped it quickly. He gave reads, but they were straightforward. In you and Dunnstral I see more choas. Syryana's actions have been linear.

Linear/chaotic means diddly squat to me, tbh. I don't know how one would attribute alignment probabilities to any of that.

After getting a read he felt good about from things that happened during it. I agree it would have been more effective to wait for SxN to post. I still don't think that matters.

The bottom line is, he did a thing, immediately signaled that it was a test, and backed it up well enough in 71 that I believe that was legitimately his intent. I understand that you or another head of yours don't think that's compelling evidence that he's town -- noted, and as such I think we have to agree to disagree with the info we currently have and promise to reevaluate later while moving on from this before people start tuning out the game. Any other reads right now?

This post made me feel a little uneasy; if I am interpreting it correctly with the brackets where I have them (am I???), it's positing a level of confidence in SxN being scum that I don't think a townie should have right now. Templered that it is possibly playstyle (like I'd never accuse someone like Katsuki of being scum for doing shit like this)

Scum don't scumhunt. They use their actions to tell a story they're creating. True events aren't like constructed stories. They aren't simple and don't follow an easy sequence - linear.
Syryana doesn't use his actions to probe further, dig deeper than he could. He makes a move, explains it, and then moves on.
