Time to start planning for the next Marathon Weekend! It'll run Friday, February 17th through Monday, February 20th.

Marathon Days are for games that are intended to be played in one sitting, usually 30 minutes to a couple of hours. Any user can run a marathon game during the Marathon Weekend: just start a thread for sign ups and start as you wish. Any player (who isn't banned) can play in a marathon game.

Do we need to wait until the 17th to put games into sign-ups or can we make a thread in advance and then start the game on the 17th? I made a Marathon set-up thing last Marathon Weekend and never got to run it, so I have that game ready to go.
Also, when does the 17th begin? Which timezone are we going by?

The forum won't be open for new threads until Feb 17th, but you're welcome to take pre-ins if you want. However, most people just take sign ups during the Marathon Weekend time period itself because it's essential to have only players who are online at the time.

A very good question. I was sad that I wasn't able to last time due to the shut down.

Are people gonna need to join the member group we created to have private topic access for marathons again. I can't remember if/how we handled it differently last time. You remember Zor?
