Not 100% (sample size of 2 of each alignment), but I get a sense that her town game is more emotional, more frustrated, more intense, compared to her scum game, where she sounds reasonable, asks decent questions, has ok tone, but basically plays a much more toned-down game, largely devoid of emotion and intensity.
:good:

gj scum team :D

eh, sometimes. I've only played w pie twice (1-1 town record). But I'm an occasional tone reader, and find it a useful tool in the arsenal.

Didn't you have a long stretch where you like always randed town? Just karma striking you back :P

(FWIW I've had a ridiculous run of town rands on MS... while rolling 7 of 9 long games as wolf on MU  )

1. notty did a lot more than me this game in terms of securing the town reads on us, and 2. bork has a significant amount of experience with me and is mostly familiar with my meta; the issue here was my aim this game was largely to play around his expectations of me and hit the types of notes in my play that resonated with him the most.

if I was to roll scum vs. you, and thought that your read on me would be significant, you could likely expect me to approach you the same way. you could probably also expect that I'd ignore you and play to the rest of the game instead, since the thing that you read me is the thing that tends to get me thrown into the fire the most when I'm actually town, even against people who know me well enough.

honestly there are a LOT of people who play way more emotionally as town, and for some weird reason it seems to get them scumread (legit townie emotion vs ATE is something I think many struggle to sort, and I'll admit that I miss the boat on it myself from time to time). It can be different emotions than anger/frustration, of course, but I do find that legit villagery emotion is often difficult to fake (with some notable exceptions, including a decent chunk of the EMers for instance).
