Max forever reason is a guy that just naturally goes under the radar a lot. Very easy for scum to set him up for a mislynch.

Your first point is bad because scum can do that too. Not to mention Maxous is a good player. D1 he sat on Kyouko and basicly ignored everything else. That's called coasting.

The second part of my point one is why I believe his going against the grain is more likely town then scum. I recall Max doing more than just sitting on Kyouko D1, he pushed Spiffy and even your slot. He also was very transparent and even threatened to take a vig like Wonder for himself if anyone but Drixx took Pyramids.

Don't really have a rebuttal to your VCA thing so you win there lol

I implore you to give me the reason why you would build a case on someone and spend so much time on it and then say you're not advocating their lynch.

He wasn't. I'm giving a hypotectical. I mean according to Spiff both and Max weren't participating in the d1 resolution phase so it seems odd to me that I was scum for it but Max was merely "disinterested".
