It's a thing that you can do. It's helpful in some games and bad in others. I NEVER try my hardest to be towny because I get super FOSed if I get to lylo without being on the lynchblock

Oh yeah I never mentioned but I was really impressed with Leon's and Vecna's plays as town. You guys did really well. Sorry that the game never panned out.

Honourable mention to Creature as well but with the caveat that he deathtunnels me every game so any claim that his read on me was good has little credibility; he did call a bunch of other scum though!

I definitely feel you on that Jae.
I was getting really frustrated with the game on that level.
I think it eventually clicked for me that people just had very little intention of engaging people directly on things.
And when I stopped worrying about everyone calling my posting garbage, I started playing a little better.

I should have done more but we had multiple town with such completely different stances on the potential scum that it was impossible to tell which was the good one. I felt that adding even more contrary views would just make it worse.

Oh and yeah wouldn't say scum played well but as someone said earlier,

scum was just able to control the game state so well.

These two statements cannot coexist.

Controlling the game is playing well.

You could have every player in the game call you scum and be correct.

If they don't actually LYNCH you, then you're still playing well.

It's literally impossible in a game of this size to have no town player correctly scumread you. (Yet alone, not have a town player scumread at least ONE member of your team.) SOMEONE out there will. What you need to do as scum is simply prevent them from acting on lynching scum, and cause them to act towards lynching town.

And that's what we did.
Perfectly, given the scum sweep.
