Newbie 1806 - The Ffery Garden: GAME OVER!

This plant may not be much to look at, but I truly covet it. This is horseradish. I have tried to grow horseradish twice. Both times, I actually watched as the plant was devoured from below ground. It looked like a Bugs Bunny cartoon. The fronds began to sway and shake violently in the early evening. I ran out to see what was going on, but by the time I got there, the plant had fallen to the ground. Well...the fronds fell. The root had been eaten away completely. I suspect a gopher was responsible.

This is only my second game if Mafia I've ever played. First on these forums, so until some REAL content presents itself, I don't have much to say. After the day ends I'll be much more active.

Just because I'm curious, what constitutes real content? I'm struggling with it myself but it feels like things might start to heat up soon now that we have even weak reads.

Popping this up pretty fast after cankles' post is actually a decent look IMO, especially given it's his first game.

A more serious answer (sorry for missing this earlier btw)... I think it's probably pretty gray area wrt community standards for ICs, but I don't think I'd bother lying about it if I was a scum IC. In particular in the context of the overall post, I'm basically saying there's stuff worth suspecting him over, just not that one thing, which seems like kind of a pointless thing to lie about in the first place, so yeah you can basically trust that it's what I think, regardless of whether you think I'm a town or scum IC.

1) Welcome!
2) It seems like you're basically null on RC, maybe a slight town lean. Is that correct?
3) Why in particular do you think some of the stuff you listed about cankles is scum-indicative? You talked just a bit before about how scum "always try to be much slyer about things" - do you think ther'es anything "sly" about cankles suggesting a no lynch? Do you think that it's especially likely for scum to put themselves in the crosshairs for a suggestion that they'd almost have to know (barring a newb-newb scum team) would never actually fly?
PS How familiar are you with the rules of this setup?

Pretty meh on Pesto's 185 reads list actually, feels... like there's really not all that much there? Things are slow so it's semi-understandable, but I just didn't get a great feel from it

Of course I voted for the biggest wagon. I'm about to get lynched. I'm not sure how that makes me scum? A lynch has to happen in order for us to gain some sort of info. Go ahead and lynch me if you want, but you'll be losing a townie.

So i think this is probably a fair thought, but at the same time, I guess I'd ask something along those lines from you? If you had one thing that you thought was interesting that no one had been talking about, what would it be?

If you had one thing that you thought was interesting that has been getting way too little attention this game, what would it be?

It can be a weird looking post, it can be a town read that's in most peoples' null or scum ranges, a scum read that most people aren't suspecting, anything at all that catches your eye and that you think is going to be helpful for solving things. Good functioning towns have wide discussions about multiple topics, with a solid majority of people pitching in with their thoughts on things, and this is a good chance to try and build up that skill set.

Find something that you're interested in and talk about it. Find something that someone else is interested in but that isn't getting much attention and talk about it. The more you talk, the more you show your alignment to your teammates, and hte more you will enjoy and the more you will learn.
