Riiiiiiight.
At any rate, I think we'd not do well to try and outguess the mod. (This is mainly about Jediknight's post about the boys not being bad. I've been in a few games now where the supposed 'good guys' were baddies, and even some where the 'good guys' and 'bad guys' are mixed.
Who haven't we heard from? That can't be everyone...Tam

LOL...you and your posts to date with:
Has done so much toward supporting the town! Your reasoning is pretty laughable and very scummy. So you suspect me cause I didn't say "well done scum?" With your reasoning 96% of the people here are scum.BSS wrote: I wonder who (if anyone) has the luck to be Kenny. Anyway, well done scum.
For all those who I have not met before, if you don't want to type out my whole name, the standard abbreviation for 'blackshadowshade' is 'bss'.
I ventured to guess on several different roles that might be evil. Can you explain how I don't seem to be supporting the town directly??? Can you explain how anyone seems to be supporting the town directly at this point? Well except for the scum, who appear content to take each other out!!!jediknight wrote: I can't really imagine the four main kids being evil. Cartman maybe but not the others. As for who might be paired with Jesus or what characters I can think of that would be possibly in this game and evil. Satan, Saddam Hussein, Mega Striesand (I know I can't spell!), and well, I can't think of anymore right off the top of my head.

Really? You wouldn't support the town directly? So what, indirectly? Wouldn't you want the town to realize that you are helpful? And what's so wrong with lying if you are scum? I just don't get any of that reasoning.blackshadowshade wrote:Why? Well, if I were scum, I would try to not support the town directly, while also not lying. I see nothing in jediknight's few posts that contradicts this.Fishblog!- NanookTheWolf

OK, first, here is my reasoning.
If I were mafia and were reasonably well-informed, I would know that a scum-finding mechanism is to look for lies. Even small lies can reveal a lot about your attitude to the town. Thus, being overtly VERY supportive of the town can give the impression of 'he doth protest too much'. Conversely, saying nothing like "Woohoo town" can also reflect upon someone. Sure, the interpretation is subjective, and very player-specific, but I would also say that there IS information there.
Thus, considering the experience levels and playing styles here (from reading through previous mafia games), I made the statement that I did. I hope that addresses why I think that the statement is not laughable (apart from the fact that I had a minimal number of posts with which to work).
Jediknight, I would like you to specify what you find so scummy about my post accusing you. Do I not have the right (and have I not been successful) in trying to elicit a reaction from other players? Believe me, you are not the only one who has aroused my suspicions, but I thought that you would certainly be a fruitful one.
Regarding the bandwagon on PopsicleStix, I'm going to give him the benefit of ONE more post before I decide. After all, this is unashamedly a 'lynch the lurker' bandwagon -- not altogether bad, considering that the balance is in the town's favour at the moment, but perhaps a little hasty. I admit that his defence was weaker than weak ...- bloojay

PopsicleStix just really doesn't seem like he wants to play. I've got this nagging feeling like i should vote for him, but I'm not gonna because I actually want to see him do something slightly intelligent with ths game.
A roleclaim, and Ideas post, anything at all. Or else he gets the vote.mepmuff: I don't know what to make of the Peacebringer news story.

Can we get a replacement? It's obvious he has no desire to be here; he is just spoiling the game. At this point we would just be lynching him because he is useless, but that doesn't make him scum.
Of course, we could learn something from the lynch either way, so maybe it wouldn't be worth bothering to replace just to have them roleclaim.
I could go with the town either way on this.Fishblog!- NanookTheWolf

It's not my style to "woohoo town." Especially when I knew that by the time it was all said and done at least six people would "woohoo town" So I opted for the funnier and more appropriate south park reference that accompanies the death of one of the characters and on occasion has been adapted. My posting style is humor...I can hhowever be serious when the situation warrants.BSS wrote: Conversely, saying nothing like "Woohoo town" can also reflect upon someone. The thing that I found scummy is that you chose to pick such a little thing to focus on and chose me to do so. While I did not say "wwoohoo", it appeared that you were focusing on someone that was being active just from the simple fact that I didn't say congrats. Essentially when the town, by the mod's own addmission as well, did not do anything. I would be more suspicious of someone that came accross as posting junk like "yah town" in a long and convoluted way than I would someone who didn't say "yah" but was posting content. In fact, wouldn't the first thing you would expect a scum to say is good job mafia so they didn't look suspicious? That's why it looks scummy.bss wrote: Jediknight, I would like you to specify what you find so scummy about my post accusing you. Yeah, that was my thought, too. But I can see his point, he was just trying to get a reaction. I've seen many people do that sort of thing recently, so it doesn't really point to scum or town. Just someone wanting to rock the boat.Fishblog!- Mr_Gnome_It_All

My vote is not staying on him because he is useless. My vote, personally, is staying right there because he seems scummy to me. He keeps posting to say he's sorry for not posting, but still doesn't actually say anything. To me this is highly suspicious. Yes, it could be that he just isn't interested, but I think it makes more sense to assume that he is acting oddly, because the game isn't far enough along for someone to think, "Oops, this isn't the cool game I thought it'd be, I'm dropping out." He signed up for it, why lose interest that fast?Fishbulb wrote: At this point we would just be lynching him because he is useless, but that doesn't make him scum.Tam
