The way I look at it, I've seen scum lurk and town lurk. It's not easy to tell the difference, but lurking town don't help the town much, so encouraging them to be active is good. There's no excuse to PR lurk as there are no PRs, so there's that too.

As soon as you say "That's not something that scum would do", all you've really done is give scum a clear path to look town.

So, yeah... I do think that scum might do that.

That aside, just because I vote for someone doesn't mean I'm convinced they're scum.

- hoops pointing out me at L-2 but not izak at L-1 was pretty scummy, and a connection between him and izak could be applied if he is scum.

- mafia-n00b's vote for Jackal for putting izak at L-1 without announcing it is terrible for the reason Hoopla stated; he put Jackal at L-1 while doing so. It being a "plan" is pointless and accomplishes nothing.

- Hoopla becomes automatic town by the end of Page 1 and keeps it up from there.

- The fact that n00b didn't question Hoopla's reasoning for the Disney character question strikes me as odd. I'm not sure if it's a town move or a scum move.

- Hoopla's #36 is beautimous

- n00b saying he doesn't have reads on anyone instead of making them up on the spot is a town move. I'm not sure anymore.

- Something feels wrong about Kami's #51... let's call it gut.

If Hoopla has already found a scumbuddy, then the two scum have already been caught and there is no further info needed. Most scum would remember the amount of people in their team, but Kami acts like there is more to be found after that. I don't know how retarded this sounds, so I want opinion on if this is an actual townslip.

- n00b starts giving me town vibes in his argument with izak in #64, where, if scum, he pretty much makes a useless argument that Hoopla should lose credibility if he flips town.

- hoops scummy in #81 for reasons already said, plus his comment about Hoopla. It seems like he's trying to sit on the fence there by saying he's seen town act this way before, but the words are empty. Not actually a real read.

- Hoopla once again obviously town for his comment on clearing other people in #95.


So, after this, I think I can call izak, Hoopla, Kami, and possibly n00b town. I'm not sure yet on Voided, but I'd be happy lynching hoops, Jackal, or Prolapsed right now.

OK, I've got some reads, so here goes:

Hoopla : probtown, although I know she's wrong about me
hoopsmcgee : neutral-to-scum, I don't buy the reasoning for the kondi vote
izakthegoomba: probtown or dangerous stealth-scum, his stuff looks like straight-forward scum-hunting
Jackal711: neutral-to-scum, throwing out some half-baked suspicions and lurking
Kamikrazy: neutral-to-town, kondi's argument isn't 100% convincing, but it's interesting
kondi2424: probtown, I think 119 is straight-up town
Prolapsed Brain: probscum, there's no town motivation to lurk this much and not scumhunt if there's no PRs
Voidedmafia: neutral-to-scum, explained in 117

Consequently, I think I'd be OK with a Prolapsed Brain lynch at this stage.

PEdit: I don't give Jackal711 any town cred for unvoting me, it feels like its maybe scum trying to sneak off a failed wagon and gain some town cred by bussing a scumbuddy.

I've modded town!Prolapsed, and while he did contribute in that game, this doesn't seem entirely out-of-character. Nevertheless, a lurker lynch on D1 when we get another lynch afterwards would not be a bad thing.

@izak: you made a cogent argument, and since I think you're town I give it some weight, but honestly it's mostly gut. While the "reputation" bit is still irritating, I've been going over and over possible scum motivations for her behavior and other than an outright "too scummy to be scum" gambit, I can't come up with any. Anyone have any scum meta on Hoopla that indicates if this is a likely tactic given the lack of PRs in this game? The thing is, the fact that scum KNOW that they can't ever be copped/tracked means that they don't have to worry about getting scanned. That "should" make for different scum play than normal, I'd think. Goddamit, I'm WIFOMing my way back to neutral on Hoopla.

From what I've seen of Hoopla, she gambits a lot. Regardless of alignment. The dogmatic tendency and the "why isn't everyone sheeping me" attitude are also typical. Normally I would think nothing of this kind of thing from Hoopla (did you know she once self-voted in LyLo?), but it seems a bit too crazy a scum move, even from her.
