I was already typing that no-one is allowed to talk during the day time with any other player outside the thread. Then I thought that might be another unusual bacde rule that I missed. And indeed. Way to go for a "normal" mini.Aelyn wrote:Wouldn't that potentially give you plenty of time to talk to people with the intention of building a fake claim? It seems like, should you be scum, the mechanics of this game make it perfect for you to want to wait as long as possible before claiming.Dragon Phoenix wrote:I'll wait for the lurkers to show up.
I want a claim ASAP.
But since there are too many trigger-happy claim-askers around, I can't chance further postponements.
I am a one-shot vigilante.

machine, he did claim. Pay attention.
What does everyone else think of the claim? I feel like DP has been pulling the ignorance card quite a bit in this game. He didn't know we could talk at night; he didn't know we could talk outside the thread; he didn't know he was lynching GL. That excuse is running pretty thin.

The way I see it, DP could either really be this ignorant due to the consistency he has shown or DP is just pretending to be ignorant as an excuse to his seemingly scummy actions. I'm not quite sure which is it.
I'd like to hear something that will actually help us from the people who haven't posted. Whenever they have posted, I see them either:
1. jumping on a bandwagon
2. agreeing with the majority or
3. not reading the thread and commenting on past things
We haven't had much to discuss and I can only imagine it will carry over the next day.

Claim looks weak to me. I don't like the idea of giving him a night for verification (since there's a good chance it won't manage to, or alternatively 3 nightkills is not a happy thought). Plus it's not especially powerful. Also (a minor point against it IMO) is that it's a "standard" role unrelated to the theme (although this does tie in with his behaviour).

The claim does look weak, but seeing as we have two deaths per night, we're going to have to think this out more thoroughly.
The "standard" role has been proven to exist by the basic townie death.

As I said minor - I'd find a plausible role tied to the theme more believable, but marginally. I expect some roles to relate but not all by any stretch of the imagination. Arguably, basic townie is an exceptioanle case anyway, the body
gau
rd is a better counter-example (thus proving it's a minor point, if at all).- chaotic_diablo

Iammers was joke account created by Commodore Amazing for a joke in the Dance of the Title Fairy thread. Iammars is a player in the game who you are probably trying to refer to.

I've been getting the same Peanut type feeling myself, but then this is my only second game with DP so who knows.Iammars wrote:I don't like the way that Dp's been playing. I've done a reread.
Day 1 gives us little to work with becaue of the idiot who dropped a premature hammer.
Post 76 stands out for me as the most scummy post on day 2 - setting me one vote away from a lynch and risking another quick day without information.
As The_Machine86 will be replaced anyway, no vote yet.

How the crap does somebody get bandwagoned to death for a stupid reason on PAGE TWO??
It didn't take me long to read over the thread, because there really isn't that much to read over. As some people have said, there appears to be more discussion out of thread than in-thread. And that doesn't help a replacement.... so if you folks don't mind, I'd like some more talk in-thread. The PMs and whatnot are all fine and dandy, especially if you can trick someone into revealing scumminess. But seriously, I've got almost nothing to go by, so right now, I'm just going to sit back, relax, and

Fine. I think DP is probably scum. One-shot vig is a claim I've seen scumbags make numerous times in the past. I'm not saying that I'm convinced of his guilt, but the lynch of GL is a black mark that he cannot and will not erase. He can claim that it was an honest mistake, but common sense should dictate that, when someone has a handful of votes on them for no good reason, you think and read before you act. Carelessness is just as dangerous as deliberate scumminess sometimes, and I'm having trouble differentiating between the two anyway.RangeroftheNorth wrote:Nice of you to say we need more discussion, Glork, without contributing anything yourself. Your just as much welcome to start discussion as anyone else.
I think i believe DP right now. I'm going toUnvote.
As for why I haven't said much, I'm still trying to get my bearings straight regarding the game. As Aelyn said, coming in as a replacement without having had any outside communication with anyone (especially considering I'm getting the impression that there's been a reasonable amount of out-of-thread discussion already, and relatively little in-thread discussion) makes things a little hard. I've really got *nothing* to go by right now, but I'll work with it as best as I can, and my activity will increase once I find something worth bringing up.
