I can find one justification:
I recently completed OPEN 550 as scum. My teammates were Paschendale and Dr. Pants. The were really good and I could have easily categorized both of them as town when I made my final reads list. However because there were three players that had been on all mislynch wagons, I decided to create a reads list that included one of them in my "scummy" list. Paschendale had a ton of town cred overall but by using a list using a reasonable criteria I was able to include a teammate. Plus my reads list looked more genuine that way. But I didn't have to use the criteria that I used and I could have included both my teammates as town if I hadn't.

I wasnt concerned about the result if Reinoe got hammered. I was surprised that no one noticed he got hammered. Of course I was wrong about that. Reinoe and Good Morning, if you attempt to tunnel me you dig your own graves. You are both scum.

Well, considering that I just said something about me not being a busser, no.
You obvi haven't been reading, forrrrrrr shaaaaaameee.
A surprising amount of interaction between her and Reinoe early. Town reads him as a gut feeling, and tells us that as scum she town reads her partners. Despite putting a non RVS vote on Reinoe (it was her second vote) she refuses to vote him now that the wagon has grown, because she doesn't bus.

77 and 69 are damn fine scumhunting.
68 is sharing of information with the town.
55 is proactively commenting on the status of the game regarding policy lynches: based on personal experience, if we must policy lynch this person is a good candidate.
44 is also commenting on the status of a scenario.
113 is advocating that a player (bubbajack again) get his head out of his ass because his conduct is detrimental to the town.
And here's some more: Dr. Pants and GreyICE are scum.
