We didn't know how many votes would be out when we distributed them. Also, giving ALL your votes to someone without even hearing anything from them DOES seem scummy, imo.

She's not cop. She's bob. Cop is a role, silly. Like ME!!!

Her name is Coppelia, so I'm going to call her Cop for short. And I don't know how you consider that scummy. When you have such a few amount of votes to give, I see no problem in giving them all to one player. And with a name like voting madness, I think we all can agree that we expected a lot of votes to be in play.

*slaps forehead* That will get confusing... I will call her BOB.

Yes, we knew there would be more than usual, I was under the impression that the number of votes I had was a lot. I thought it would be, like, maybe 30, not 76 or whatever it is.

God, ok, I'm wrong, I'm sorry, we can all argue about this until we're blue in our faces but no one will ever change our minds. Can we either lynch me and move on with our lives or not lynch me and still move on with our lives?

(Lets see how many people will say my wanting to get lynched is an appeal to emotion/WIFOM.)

Bean, I think you gave up on your argument way to easily. I am really not sure what to think about you. I personally think that when someone has an argument, they should not give up on it so easily. I didn't expect my post to all of a sudden make you believe that you were wrong. However, you did claim cop, and I hate lynching cops that have not been countered(If there is another cop, do not claim please). Giving up is also a more pro town than scummy. Right now, I'm not sure what to think about you. Your wagon, however, is growing quite quickly and we should take a look at everyone who has jumped onto your wagon.

Part of it is that everyone's yelling at me so much. (Johhan, PUT YOUR HAND DOWN, I'm not appealing to emotion.) I would have thought doing something like that when you didn't know how many votes were in play (I assumed four votes was a lot at that point) could be mucho risky. Her giving all her votes to someone purely on experience seemed stupid, and I think better of Bob.

There really isn't much more to it. That's it, plain and simple, I can't argue it any more. All we're saying now is whether or not:

A) My claim is correct (why the **** would I claim during random voting? I'm not stupid as scum. Check out Newbies 350 and 356 for what I look like as scum. MUCH less blatant.)

B) What I found was enough to lynch either Dragyn or Bob.

Now, I want to know, if so many people were giving votes to Dragyn and Adele for experience, why did Bob get four votes? I gave her one, but those other three must have come from somewhere.

I gave up because there really isn't that much to argue, either that's scummy or it isn't. Okay, I get it (not yelling @ u, scotmany) this wasn't good. So either lynch me or move on. Is there REALLY that much to think about? I thought I had two scum nailed. Apparently you don't think so. So choose.

Lol, Bean, I like that.

Heh, I call it as I see it, but i don't think this is an appeal to emotion anyway. I don't have anything against you, just don't understand your playstyle.
Now, I want to know, if so many people were giving votes to Dragyn and Adele for experience, why did Bob get four votes? I gave her one, but those other three must have come from somewhere.
I split mine to several different people, giving one vote to each of them. I picked which people at random, and "Bob" happened to be one of them.
Is there REALLY that much to think about? I thought I had two scum nailed. Apparently you don't think so. So choose.
I just think you should have waited a night or 2 so you could confirm it.

First, I'm still uncomfortable with bbb's defense. From the WIFOM in point A) of post 107 to his conviction that everyone must have been thinking the same as him about the number of votes pre-game, and not having that thinking changed by seeing the number of votes out there(which he commented on in his first post after day had started) to his ultimatum issuing "Lynch me or move on" which would imply he wants less discussion that may reveal possible scumbuddies. There is enough in his posts to just about override my loathing of day one lynching of claimed cops, but then again this claim was made under absolutely no pressure.

Still, this game has been very quiet so far, and I'd like to see day one into 10+ pages with more participation before tossing my large block around again.

Those quickly and easily stating where they gave their votes leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure what to think of that at this point, so many scenarios are playing out in my head about that, that I can't make a case in either direction without heading deep into WIFOMy territory myself, so those thoughts will be filed away until more information is available to coallate with it.

Wait, didn't he freak out *after* someone dropped like 10 votes on one person and claimed it wasn't even half his total votes? Why on earth would you think that 4 votes were a lot after witnessing that? I'm not even going to enter WIFOM territory by saying how stupid it would be for scum to give their votes to eachother. I guess Bean is getting 4 votes from me because his logic seems faulty. Add to that the attitude(?) behind some of his posts and I'm seriously contemplating the lynch of a claimed cop.

@VanDamien- why does it matter if we state who we gave our votes to? The only ones with something to hide would be scum. In fact, if we all state who we gave our votes to, we take the ability to speedlynch away from the scum, no?

Actually, I think MM stated in the rules, no mass claiming of vote NUMBERS. But if we just say who and in proportion, I think that's fine. I gave... oh, god, I feel like an idiot, but I can't remember/find the PM. I think I gave some to Bob and some to dragyn or Adele. I think... yeah, that's right.

So mass claiming of who we gave our votes to is allowed, but with at least 2 vote-stealer abilities out there, there's a fair chance one of them's anti-town, so i'd be cautious about asking people to compile a list of who has how many votes.

Oops, sorry.

If I seem anxious to end the day, I feel like this is a pretty black/white situation. Either what I did was scummy, or it wasn't, it's not kinda sorta scummy, or maybe on an alternate friday scummy, it is or it's not. I'm sorry if it seems I'm rushing through the day.

@dragyn_mage: The reason it bothers me somewhat is that if that information is given easily, then later, after someone is confirmed scum, and links are looked for, someone could defend giving those votes to the confirmed scum with having openly admitted to doing it for other reasons. I told you it was WIFOM-y, so for now I'm ignoring using that as any basis for analysis.

@bbb: Very little is cut and dry. Quit trying to end the day quickly. We're only on page 5, and are having very little participation from a great number of people. But, if it'll make you happy, that post alone will get some of my votes back on you.

1. Don't know if it's intended or not but that puts BBB at 37 votes out of 39 to lynch, by my count. I see him as the play for the day as well but would like some more discussion first.

2. VD, you tell bbb to quit trying to end the day early, but seemingly give in to his requests and put him very close to a lynch 2 lines later... what gives?

VD unvoted his huge block of votes a while ago unless i missed him revoting them, he should only be voting bbb 5 times.

All of your play has been suspect since your claim.

On another topic, I don't think any vote claims would work at all. Most if not everyone probably has voting abilities, not to mention the possibility of multiple people lying together. It would definitely get very confusing quickly.

I'm not trying to end the day. I'm saying that there isn't much to analyze vis a vis my claim, IMO. Either it is or isn't scummy. Can anyone explain what more depth there is than that?

Er... I don't want to get lynched?

That wasn't sarcasm, I guess this game is coming at me fast. Er, by defensive, do you mean like, acting as if I have something to hide? I guess I'm nervous, sorry if I seem defensive.
