What did your test reveal?

Nope
I hate being scum in Newbie games ftr, it feels bad fooling them
In post 44, Creature wrote:tojam2 noticed he got a scum PM with so few newbies around and ran away.
rofl if this is true

rofl x 2

Nothing more to say then this?

If one of the SEs is going to IC temporarily then it should be Dwlee, he's most experienced.

Sorry, I'm really tired right now as I've just got back from a shooting competition (and no I didn't win any medals).

Hi, I'm Tom and I'm the IC (Inexperience Challenger) for this game.
My job is to make sure that you learn how to play the game and the dynamics of the game mafia (hopefully without sounding too much like a smart-arse).
I am usually active around 3-4pm GMT and available to answer most questions you have.

Once, again I apologise for having been away for 2 days (ish).
This feels kind of icky, not sure why.

I think this is blatantly newbtown.

VOTE: Tojam
for now

Why has nobody answered my question as to how we find scum?

We find scum by scumhunting! Questioning each other, analyzing posts, etc. Look for behaviors that you think mafia would do. For example, someone who is constantly posting small posts that add no real contribution, or someone who is avoiding looking for scum.

I understand, being scum is tiring.

SirCakez, I disagree.

You should see who's trying to pose like town.

Your example.

Oh that, I thought you meant my vote on Tojam.
Why do you disagree?

I don't want to be discriminated for making short posts.

Posted: Sun Jun 12, 2016 10:13 am

Short posts are fine, I do them a lot.
It's if the posts aren't adding anything (a.k.a fluff) that I'd get suspicious.

by Creature
In that case I agree, but I don't see scum fluffposting nowadays.

I'd be surprised if scum weren't posting once in a blueb moon a lenghty noise post.

@crazycrabman,

Why did you unvote so fast?

Because the vote's intention was to get a reaction and when that intention was out in the open, the vote served no purpose.

I get it... so basically we just try to see who is acting like us and that's how we'll know who is town and people who answer questions or act different are most likely scum.

eageSnake, did you find any scum?

Posted: Sun Jun 12, 2016 11:03 am

Pretty much. The wiki here has some good info about helping to determine who's scum~ http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?tit ... ory:Theory

You could have kept the vote on and said you got a scummy reaction as an added layer. You didn't want to create too much Wifom is that why you didn't to that? What did atms reaction tell you? Obviously it looks like you are saying you think they gave a Townie reaction or you would have kept the vote on them correct?

I stated my intentions before I could get a reaction. A scum player, once seeing the intention of the vote, would act differently than if the intention was not known. That being said, a do find it a bit scummy that he kept pressing me about the vote, and even said he had three votes on him when in reality there was none.
