Yeah, sucks to be you, welcome to mafia. Striking a balance is a part of the game. I mean, I've hardly posted in this game at all but since no-one's noticed it's not so much a problem (:P) but when people accuse you of being scummy for doing X you can't complain because in the past you've been attacked for doing not-X or opposite-of-X. They're tactics and tells that folk are using. There's no formula for being safe, and trying switching tactics when attacked for them is a valid learning behaviour, but not a get-out for accusations in game.Thephantom wrote:Lurking, well I cannot say that I have been actively participating but I can say that it has been because I hadn't seen anything worth responding to. In previous games I have gotten targeted because I was too involved in the game posting often and people accused me of trying to keep myself from suspicion by being at the front of the pack.

dayvig, daysk or scum with daykill? The power itself is on the scummy side of balance and I don't like the use of it.

Or possibly because the structure of the game encourages scum-hunting, and in the average game most if not all players suffer a lot of suspicion. And you're new and don't yet know how to contribute effectively.thephantom wrote:Yea it does suck, I think maybe my name throws people off and they immediately think of me as a bad guy and then look for things that could be seen as scum.
No, it's not your name. It's because you're making mistakes.

Well clearly this town is going to no lynch which upsets me, but there is nothing I can do about it.
What I will do though is demand that everyone vote for who they think is most suspicious before the day ends. This will help for a vote trail in the future. Failure to do this will result in you looking like lurking scum.

Seriously with all this lack of posting going on the only one person who looked scummie was Monkey for using his ability when he did. It made this day that was bad and slow to begin with worse and difficult to make any desicions at all.

I'm not entirely convinced he's scum but there's not a lot to go on right now and his use of ability is the most suspicious thing to happen so far.

I dont see how what I asked actually helps the scum? I am putting everyone on record so the scum have to vote for someone which could trip them up. Additionally the town is analyzing (at least i hope its more than just a random vote, but who knows) and then voting for someone which could bring something to the forefront.Johoohno wrote:How interesting logisticus. You come with a suggestion and want everyone else to start. I see the benefit in your suggestion, but there is a benefit for town and scum both.
Hopefully we'll get a discussion started but for now the above said makes me

Are you just saying this because you think you should because it doesnt make any sense.
What? Monkey was only at 3 and lynch is 6. Explain your terrible math.thephantom wrote: Vote: Pug89
How convenient that you just follow right along and put monkey at L-1 so that anyone could kill him.
1. As logictus already pointed out Monkey is only halfway to a lynch right now.Vote: Pug89

2. Someone has to place a L-1 vote sooner or later or the town will never lynch anyone which usually only helps scum.

Wow I am sorry about that bad vote count, I forgot about the 6 to lynch, I am used to games were it is only 4 to lynch.
Logictus I hadn't thought about it that way but it also could help the scum find an innocent to lynch by allowing them to target someone who is innocent and then make the people that person voted for be seen as scum.

i think the korts kill shouldnt have been used. i am unsure wat mokey could be as it could be day vig, scum with day kill, 3rd party.
mmm
im ok with a monkey lynch today....though id prefer for him to be investigated.
so i'll hold my vote for now

Take another look at what you've quoted. "Regardless of how it was used"?:Lloyd wrote:I disagree about the power itself. It shouldn't have been used, it shouldn't have been usedAdele wrote:I don't like the use of it.
then
, and it shouldn't have been used like that
. The fact that this power is given at least as often to scum as town (IMHO) is the lesser of my concerns. The deadline and his behaviour are the greater of my concerns.- farside22

My suspicion is back to thephantom. He seemed to jump at Pug and Logo for the wrong reason's. He keeps making mistakes and then backing down when he is caught making those mistakes. They are obvious, but is he newb scum or newb town?

I see it more as jumping at someone trying to make a case that does not exsist more then a mistake.thephantom wrote:Yea I made a mistake, Im sorry that I am human. Is that a scummy thing to be?
As far as the Log thing am I not allowed to change my mind? Didn't you just change yours?

Well thats a nice little bonus we get...maybe we can get our acts together and actually not no lynch.
Anyway, I have no problem lynching monkey. That particular ability, in my opinion, historically seems to be more slanted to scum than town so as the deadline gets closer, I will gladly switch my vote.
Anyway, ooba is lurking and hasnt posted in a week and Monkey still hasnt laid down a vote on who he thinks is scummiest at this point. So both of you please, do so.

I'd rather lynch than not.
As for the day kill power, I've seen some townies with it. Fritzler comes to mind as someone I've seen in a few game who played the role of day vigs.
As for day kill mechanics...I like allowing vig to shoot early and whenever. I was a vig once who killed a godfather on night 0, whose death outed a scum on day 1. While it sucked for the godfather who died early on night 0, I enjoyed being able to vig randomly on night 0. It was fun for me.
