I'd actually say the bolded is the more pro-conversation part of that post :# I was trying to see firstly whether you had a sorting mindset during rvs (towntell, not a common thing but pretty handy), then how self-aware you were coming into that situation wrt voting patterns (fairly self aware)

It paints a picture where you, town, see a 2p wagon on NaCl and a 1p wagon on me and decide to join mine because you think that's valuable. Do you think I'm the type of person to alignment tell in rvs? You've kinda already slipped that you believe me to be pretty self aware and unlikely to slip, so this isn't it

You're claiming to generate content but I am not sure what your reads are rn and I'm only seeing pretty superficial conversations with other players - your read on me is pretty interesting as well. I entered this game with a mission to get an early read on you - on that basis I'm basically handling you the way I'd handle a lategame mislynch (position you as "not very towny", find a reason to vote you and then slowly end up with a case).

If you're town I'd expect the way I'm approaching you here to feel kinda over the top and slimy. But you've largely been comfortable working around me and letting me do my thing. Then your stated read of me is "I think NaCl is onto something!" which is a low-accountability way to express a scumread.

Short answer: I think you're reading things I'm doing but I'm not sure you've tried to work through why I'm doing them yet. The Worst is clearly town, in my eyes. 52 shows a willingness to be voted in the case of discussion, rather than anything more defensive I've seen from other games.
NaCL in 86 also gives me that vibe, but I'm kind of worried my reads/tells/gut is less good as much as I like aconversation and things that move an idea along.

And why would I not vote you just because I think you won't slip? That seems like a stupid reason not to vote. Votes can be changed and I can progress to the next person whenever I want.

And yes, I'm sitting behind NaCl's point because I agree with it. Why would I discredit/ignore something when I actually think it's a decent thought? If I come up with my own read just for the sake of originality, when I don't actually have much better to contribute, then I'm hurting town by cluttering the interaction and not focusing on the actual good point that, in this case, was brought up by NaCl.

And eh, I think both you and Arkias are making assumptions and I'm feeling confirmation bias from you two. I don't really get your whole "I should be seeing you as slimy" because that implies that town has never made an aggressive push that is wrong.

Since it's not ongoing anymore, I refer back to my first game where we (I) refused to policy-lynch Gyro. He was mafia. I think it's an awful stance, and I agree with what Micc said there -- if he's town or not, does he help us win? Or would you rather wait till we're at a LyLo and have random BS there?

The only thing is I sometimes feel bad since some people just don't play like others, but if we're going purely competitive then yeah, I'd want Thomth lynched tbh unless his style changed a bit. He's the type that Mafia wouldn't kill themselves because he confuses things and makes accurate reads far harder than they already are.

ya he felt the reason to come back and post about why he was voting (indicates self awareness, or maybe he was called out in the scum pt for it or smth) but he still did it. I don't think it's a very good tell. But I think it's more town indicative than scum indicative, if only 0.001%, and I'd be interested if someone disagrees with that other than just finding it frustrating
