Hard to believe in a Shakespeare themed game we eliminated Juliet first, and it looks like she's flipping town too.

Pure meta and it means nothing, but still.

You absolute fiends.

One Last Poem before I take my leave.
Thanks to all who made me feel happy and welcome,
DeasVail, LukeWarm, Cephrir and Bowser!
And especially Pavowski, I'm sorry our time together was so brief.

My time here is over and parting is such sweet sorrow,
Let's hope things get much better tommorrow!

Two enemies, not alike in dignity,
In fair Mafiascum, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

From forth the brilliant mind of our mod,
A wonderous world for us to play in,
I hereby place my faith and trust in God,
And hope the town may yet come back and win,

So Juliet, do you know why it took 10 votes to kill you instead of 9?

We're you loved and you just left it off your claim?

Also, LLD - did you realize that you were super hammering her?

'Twere but 9 votes required for elimination. The vote counting device included the post-hammer vote.

Night 1 hath ended!

And tragedy hath struck:

Yorick
, a
Loyal Cast Member
, as played by
Whemestar
, has shuffled off this mortal coil.

Spoiler: Whemestar's Role
Welcome!

Image

You are
Yorick
, of
Hamlet
.

You are the dead court jester whose skull is exhumed by a gravedigger. Hamlet sees your skull and is moved to reminisce. His meditation about you is emblematic of the earthly vanity philosophical theme regarding life and death.

Your signing bonus for joining the Globe Theatre Troupe is:
1 gold coin
, and the Globe Theatre will pay you
1 gold coin
at the end of each game day. For more information about the

Abilities:

All the world's a stage:
Your greatest abilities of all, your voice and your vote
A fellow of infinite jest:
Your votes must all be accompanied by a joke.
Of most excellent fancy:
Once during the game you can target a player to learn that you are a Moderator-confirmed
Loyal Cast Member
that night.
Where be your gibes now? Your gambols? Your songs?
If you die, you will be able to vote as befits a restless spirit on the following game day. To vote, PM me with who you want to vote. You may change your vote during this post-death game day.
Slings and Arrows:
While you live a vote without a joke will not be counted. After you die, you do not suffer this affliction.
Dost thou think Alexander looked o’ this fashion i’ th’ earth?:
There may be other aspects of your role of which you are currently unaware.

To what base uses we may return, Horatio?
  • Why may not imagination trace the noble dust of Alexander till he find it stopping a bunghole?:
Before you die, you can buy a potion that will extend your post-death voting ability to a second day. The cost will be
    6 gold coins
    .

Win Condition

It is a dark cold dawn, more fitting of Midwinter than this day.

If you have a dawn action, 'tis best sent to me soon!

Of all the slots I have reread on Day One, I believe Wisdom and Dunnstral have the most likelihood of being mafia.

Wisdom doesn't feel very invested in his pushes and seems to be just making attacks of convenience, Dunn feels incredibly lurky and also informed at some points.

I think LLD voting for me when I was already eliminated tends to be more town indicative than not? I can't really tell with her.

Rereading Tamora's Angel, perhaps I was too harsh and she is just town - I think she really believed I was mafia.

I believe my townreads on Luke/Pavo/Bowser are still correct.

I shall leave the game as I began it, with a poem for my beloved:

Spoiler: For Cephrir
My kind Cephrir, you inspire me to write.
How I love the way you Sleep, Walk and dance,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about our hopeless romance.

Let me compare you to a storm center?
You are more loyal, faithful and handsome.
Close fogs hide the oceans of November,
And autumntime has the hansom ransome.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your glorious Face, Smile and eyes.
Thinking of your royal Smile fills my days.
My love for you is the fast merchandise.

Now I must away with a tender heart,
Remember my fond words whilst we're apart.

From offstage, you hear a voice:
My role is a crier, I can send a message every dawn phase. Notably, I can even send such a message the night I am dying. My final monologue, as it were. Juliet claimed commuter, and yet was able to make post 1013 for unknown reasons, certainly not something they claimed while alive. Most suspicious of all, Juliet doesn't explain why they are able to do so in their postmortem post, or acknowledge that their role did not flip. What I'm getting at is that I think Juliet was evil at heart.

One last thing is that WhemeStar had targeted me with their friendly neighbor ability.

Hark! Another voice's echo bounces from the boards of the empty stage:
All the world’s a page
And all the town and mafia merely writers
They have their towntells and their scumtells
And each in their time makes many votes
The intention of each remains unclear.
Revelations and answers I do not impart.
I feel bad about this bad soliloquy
An act of pseudo-ventriloquy
Alas, time did get away from me.

The great lamp we know as Sol is now fully risen, yet remains low on the horizon. Something is not as it should be. Perhaps Midwinter has indeed come early.

Day Two has been cut untimely short, and will last but half its appointed hours.

My entire post just got phone deleted goddamn.

1. Got 3 caskets. Nothing was in the one I picked.
2. Have to say bower jr is obvious town in every post.
3. Made a statement about Juliet probably flipping scum because I can’t remember a (non-janitor)hidden alignment reveal ever being town. So yay!
