At the risk of interrupting Noraa, what did you think of how the setup played out Hectic? In theory, would you make any changes if you ran it again?
I thought I agreed with Isis that it might be a bit town sided. But the power of getting a wolf into the town block is evident.
Maybe the dayvig is actually a bit hard to use in practice?

I feel like I would use the dayvig on a strong town player early on to break up cohesion, especially if they’re a threat to scum. Idk though.

What I was thinking was like first post vig LLD?
But that is probably not what you want in a setup design.
Also you are losing something if you wait because you are giving town info about a certain group forming being townies probably. I guess there is wifom there too though.
I've edited it out as a "bbcode error", after discussing it with a listmod.
I'd have taken it
A good decision I think though
oh
so that is how you managed to do that shelly
i did see that and was like
how did you manage to mess up a quote that badly
i did not realize it was because it was a quote from a pt
i thought it was just an issue with multiquotes or something

the dayvig is impossible to use without making it so that there is one remaining player. In the case that one person has to solo carry their team towards the end, the dayvig is basically unusable. I used it cuz I wanted to go down in style
But if there's like 2 scum towards the end, that's where the dayvig is probs helpful cuz if they dayvig a townie and the last alive townie has to pass a scroll. Both the players alive are scum so no matter which one gets the scroll, its a scum win.
The scum team didn't know how the dayvig worked. We didn't know that finishing the passing of the scrolls was a bigger priority than being 1 scum 1 town. So we thought at the end if we dayvigged someone, we won the game.
Like at the end of day 6, it was 1 scum alive and 1 town alive. I feel like fairness wise, that should've been a scum win. But no, the scroll must be passed and so town won with one townie standing, murder.

But yeah the dayvig is basically impossible to use with the scroll system :/

I didn't figure that out til later when I clarified how the dayvig worked. I thought if I made it to last three and dayvigged, game was over :/
By the time I shot bell, I already knew but for the majority of the game, I didn't know that was the case.

i mean the scroll is a venge-kill so it would have to be resolved before you get to a voting phase
which is where the consideration for if scum automatically win occurs
it is best to use the dayvig early or not at all

But the problem is no matter when you use the scroll, you will need to make the very last person alive a scum for it to be a scum win.

It's not as bad when there's 1+ scums nearing the end but its pretty bad when there's 1.

yeah you kind of need more then one scum alive at the end
or to be the deepwolf that no one suspects
which you were very close to being

I agree with this. I think for this setup to be balanced, the dayvig should have won you the game. It was epic 1n any case.
