So I've narrowed my ideas for my first mini game down to three:

1. Joe's Garage Mafia

2. The Prestige Mafia

3. Televangelist Mafia

As soon as Mini 414 is over, I will be modding Momir mafia as a mini themed.

Gauging on it's sucess, I'll be doing a large themed after that.

These are Some of My Favorite Things Mafia

No, nothing to do with The Sound of Music, that's a different mafia.

This game would be a derivation of UPick, but with some difference in concepts.

Each player, possibly a 15 player theme game, would submit 3 of their favorite things to the moderator. The moderator would then create a role for only 1 of these favorite things, and assign it to a different player. I still have to work out of there would be any other dynamics to the game, but this is all idea form at the moment. Does anyone else have some ideas?

Interesting. I'd probably be /in, gameload permitting.

Would anyone be up for a Rap Battle Mafia?

I'm thinking about running a Mutually Assured Destruction mafia. Basically, everyone will represent a country, most of which have nuclear weapons, with a small scum group (the "rouge states"). There's a normal voting and lynching process, but anyone with nuclear weapons can nuke someone during the day, as a daykil. However, there are a few key facts here:

1. If you nuke someone, they'll have a chance to respond before they die, which means they might be able to nuke you back, if they choose to do so. (hence the "mutually assured distruction".

2. If too many nukes are used over the course of the game, the world goes into nuclear winter and everyone dies, which means that EVERYONE loses, both the town AND the scum.

3. The players in the game do not know how many nukes will cause nuclear winter.

So, LOGICALLY people probably shouldn't nuke each other TOO often, if at all, but will they? Will people be semi-rational and play it out like a normal mafia game without resorting to nuclear weapons (much), or will it play like Really Really Bad Idea Mafia and result in turning the entire world into a radioactive wasteland before the end of day 1?

I donno, but it'd be neat to see. ;)

So, would be people be interested in playing that kind of game? I'd probably run it as a mini, at least at first. I'd also be interested in getting a co-mod, if anyone would be interested.

I'd at least like to see it.

Hilarious if a single nuke exchange ends the game.

I knew that the Republican party was scum.

I'd like to see this in action. I think the risk/reward aspect is interesting.

I'd like to see it happen, even though I'm not sure I'd like to play. Sounds like an interesting game.

Did anybody ever actually run a Zork Mafia?

You mean Zorc and Pals Mafia?

That's an awfully good idea...

I'd like to play Yos's game and get nuke's. How many nukes can you use per day? (Must cause Nuclear Winter.)

No, Zork.

Good God, how young are the kids these days that they haven't heard of Zork?

I don't believe I've seen a Zork game, Flay. Certainly not in the time I've been here, or I'd have signed up, and I don't believe anywhere in the archives.

I'm pretty sure I have seen a Zork game. Where, I have no idea... I think I've browsed Misetings and MTGS and not a lot else.

I don't see how you can get a lot of roles out of Zork though. There are some interesting villains, but some protown player is going to have to be the garlic, or the dam.

I'd like to claim the idea of a large Vengeful game with maybe two-week days. I assume some people would sign up for this.

My idea to adjust the basic setup is that lynching the godfather wouldn't be game over, it would just cause a specific goon to die too. The mafia would be specified (to them) as a list that wraps around, and the (living) goon following the godfather is the one that dies with him. And whenever the godfather dies, the mafia select a new godfather.

I'm not sure what to do about the fact that if the town does well, the game might not see a single venge kill. It's not fixed so easily as letting lynched townies vengekill all the time, since given random moves (and the GF vulnerability) it isn't even advantageous to vengekill before lylo...

I like the idea.

Maybe you could do something similar to the Assassin in the Palace game you ran on Marathon day, and let the Mafia do the Venge kills?

Would anybody /in for a HTML mafia? With depriciated elemnts and ones that refer other codes as scum. Mabey a XML cult, with the DTD as leader? Validator as cop and WYSIWYG editors as inventors?
