Looks like L-2. Again, I could go for either lynch. I could put thil at L-2 instead.

Until my post gets up, there will be no vote from us down. (Post coming later tonight, hopefully.)

@Mod: Request replacement.
Sorry, I really wish I could've been a better replacement. I just don't have it in me to see this to the end what with real life complications.
Go town.

So what is it with this revolving door of scummyish people replacing at scummyish times, anyway?
@chkflip: Care to weigh in at all on the Pine/Thil thing before you bail?

will you please articulate a little more? Do you or don't you believe the claim? Y because.../N because...
I have decided that I definitely believe thil. Although espeo-pine only was at L-4 when he first posted, I think he provided acceptable justification for not voting him. Besides, I stand by my scumread of the slot, and I think that pine's silence in the last 22 hours is absolutely eloquent.

The procedure here is simple guys.
Cop claim: lynch the claimed investigation result.
If thil turns out to be lying lynch scum.
We can sacrifice Pine in order to lynch scum. The idea when he replaced in was that he couldn't save his player slot anyways.
unvote, vote pine

I'm semi-V/LA until tomorrow night. I understand the necessity of my sacrifice, but I'd like to finish my analysis post (sitting 3/4 done at home) before my insight is lost to Town.

Oh. Claim is VT. Not a big loss for Town.

Very grown-up reaction, quite unlike the shitposting you did when you replaced in. Top marks, sir.
Unvote, Vote thil
I'd rather lynch thil first.

Oh hell to the no.
also lolhohum, trying to lynch claimed cop over claimed vt.

this. woaaaah, big fat scumpoints for hohum.

I don't believe the claim, and I've been saying for a long time now that I think pine's player slot is town.
So yeah, I'd rather lynch the claimed cop. He's lying.

Hrm. I don't see hohum and thil as scumbuddies. There's no motivation for hohum to slow my lynch, unless it's a long con to gain faux townpoints when thil is revealed as fakeclaiming.
Then again, this is non-normal, so non-sane cops, millers, and framers are in.

OK, now I'm a bit confused. hohum, the fact that you initially voted Pine and wanted to lynch him means you aren't sure he's town, right? If so, I don't think a town read should trump a guilty result. I guess I misinterpreted something you said earlier. I'm fine with lynching Pine first, in that case. I'll vote when we've heard from everyone and we agree to proceed.
Mod: I unvoted on the last page so I am not voting for anybody at the moment.

The vote was designed to check to see if he had any sense of self preservation. If he's going to act spergy ITT then I'd rather lynch him to verify the cop claim regardless of his alignment but if he can keep from shitting up this thread then I'm more inclined to disbelieve the cop claim and investigation result.
kdub wrote:you aren't sure he's town, right?
I don't have the advantage of perspective that you do. Are you 100% sure of your read on him?

No I'm not. I think your response cleared things up for me. The smart play here is to lynch Pine.

Then why exactly aren't you voting?
Whatever the decision is someone needs to step up to the fucking plate and get this shit rolling. The last week or so this thread has been crawling along at an excruciatingly slow pace.

Like it's been said, if I'm lying go ahead and lynch me, what do you have to lose? But I don't think there is much room left for discussion, except if you believe either of our claims.

What do we have to lose? An extra Townie. You were moving to be the day's lynch, so why not take a Townie with you? SOP with a cop claim is to lynch the claimed guilty first, so it costs you nothing. In fact, hohum's reversal sounds like a soft counterclaim.
I'd rather see the doc protect hohum over a desperate claim, especially when I flip Town

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. What we are waiting for is for TMH to make their big post, as well as Pine's post he said to give him time to make. You know this. Have to, unless you're not reading.
Also, Thil, I hope this isn't a flavor cop thing. Cause you're both acting sorta townish about this whole thing.

Check the vote count. It isn't as if kdub is hammering by voting for pine. His words would carry more weight in my reads if he were to actually follow through instead of sitting perched up there on that fence post.

How the hell would they carry more meaning if he pointlessly added a vote upon the person the majority of us seem fine with lynching, including himself? And what exactly was fense-y about the post?

Actions speak louder than words.
Also, kdub laying down his pine vote might force pine to do something useful and actually post the read he's been promising for days now

No, it wouldn't:
Pine wrote:I'm semi-V/LA until tomorrow night. I understand the necessity of my sacrifice, but I'd like to finish my analysis post (sitting 3/4 done at home) before my insight is lost to Town.
In this case, his words, which stand as indication of intent to vote, count the exact same as voting. The vote would serve to further the lynch, i.e. state that he believes Pine should die today. Since he literally said that, then the vote doesn't need to be there yet, so there's really no point making it seem like his vote is stopping the game from moving forward.

You are quite incorrect.
As a VT, what is the only tool you have?
