What would you need to do to be able to get a read on the hydra?

Well, that sure is a new one. This addressing Cerb is like saying Kim Jong-un is in love with Donald Trump, so to speak.

Your points on Taly are valid though, albeit not enough for me to SR the slot (I can't tell you why, if you know what I mean)

Spoiler: @Chara

Who's the first one? :P

In post 329, Taly wrote:Claiming also informs town, I'll add.
I'll just have you know that claiming in a Varsoon game is night to a death wish regardless of your alignment. Varsoon usually makes sure there mechanics to punish claims. Like, in that game I referred to earlier, I was a Town Vig of some sort, but I could only kill my target if I new (or could guess) their flavour.

OK, Taly can be Town. In fact, if he was on a scum team they would have advised him against claiming the way he did, unless the whole team is literally composed of players who never played a Varsoon game before. (Put another way, Taly flipping scum totally and instantly clears Creature, Chara, Maid, RR, Sky, Shining, Baku, Bronzya, SS & Tibor. Probably even Dunn, although I don't remember if he played a Varsoon game previously).

By the time I got to the first VC (post m I find myself TRing Creature > Chara > Taly > OTM > Maid >> Iconeum (this is a null-Town slot) > RR (absolute null and shall probably remain there forever)

I have only 2 SRs on Sky > Venmar

All the rest are yet to be sorted (I probably should've included Shining as a null, but I'm hoping Yume will talk more and let me get a peek on the slot).

Can anyone explain to me why there are so few scumreads on Chara?
A fake miller claim and a push to lynch town D1 'for the good of town' make this a scumread for me.

Going through Chara ISO, it's all about steering conversation towards a fake claim and about how it's better to lynch town. For the latter, iteven mentions 2 different reasons:
-More likely for town to win the game
-powering up own slot

Even more, out of all players it choses OTM as the sacrificial townie to be lynched. One of the more widely accepted townreads.

Rereading, there is 0 motivation to make a towncohesion. There are no reads expressed, and a naked vote on Skybird in .
It mentions skybird a bunch of times, but never takes the effort to actually dig into the case. There is very little overal commitment to reads.

VOTE: Chara

There was also the anti-claiming campaign, while (fake)claiming which doesn't make sense.

Ico, Chara says she was joking about the lynch town thing and those of us who took it seriously didn't read it right or something. I'd have to go back and re-read to see for sure but Chara seemed surprised at our reactions. :(

I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to be that MC's claimed method for getting mana is extremely complicated. I know the way I can gain mana is very straight forward and I don't really think Varsoon would make it so difficult for one slot to gain mana. They claim in post that it would be best if town targeted them with actions. In post , they ask Chara to cross vote them so they can get mana. After getting questioned about it, they say in post that they think everyone can gain mana more or less easily. When I call them out in post 689, they respond that they didn't explain exactly how the vote/mana thing worked (post ). This is followed by more conditions on the vote/mana thing. It just seems very strange to me and not very towny. They want power so they can action at night. Why make themselves such a target?

There's also this:
In post 506, Maid Cafe wrote:@everyone also important note, if you have the ability to kill another player please opt to use another card if possible.
There are 8 planes to see across 8 days and I want to visit all of them.

~B
I think RR speculated earlier that scum might be controlling the planes we visit. How does MC know we have to go to a different plane each day? How do they know there are 8 planes? Did I miss something in Varsoon's starting posts?

Well that doesn't help me townread the slot.

I agree that it sounds like an overly complicated way to gain mana, seeing how straightforward my own is. But this is just more speculation and I don't wanna go there at this point.

Varsoon had a post up while he was making the game that showed his progress, and it showed x/8 planes created. In addition, he stated that if the game went longer than that, he'd start recycling them(or make new ones, he wasn't completely clear). So, there's cause to believe there are 8 planes.

I don't see what's wrong with Skybird's scumread on you. I'm not scumreading you, but I don't find the reasoning unjustified; your gambit itself was pretty absurd, and would usually provoke a negative response in people who weren't familiar with you.

I'm not sure exactly what the purpose of that discussion was, or what conclusions you obtained from the data as well. Care to share?

I find RR's pretty over the top; I agree that Math's case on RR was shoddy and mostly NAI but the response from RR really seems to come from someone with too much time. Too much of a stretch to call it alignment indicative but it is rather more indicative of a type of personality. It helps build an archetype for what to look for in his play in later-game I guess.

This isn't really going to help anyone but just putting this out here for myself to reference later if necessary.

Except if memory serves Skybird is familiar with Chara. Or is at least familiar with gambits from Mass Effect. The way Skybird is reacting doesn’t feel authentic.

I don’t know what you mean by The Chara Fanclub but Skybird is kinda a wildcard. I don’t think they are of a similar playstyle as most.

Who would you townblock Kiana?

I would have the following players in my towncore:

Myself, RR, OntheMark, Chara, Creature

Venmar and Shining Dreamers are on the waiting list.
