For those who are skeptical about d1 or earlier days in large normals, they're not completely meaningless. In a large normal a while back, I used vca and other techniques to catch Nero Cain, who iirc, nobody wanted to lynch for a long time. Yes it was extremely frustrating, but if memory serves right, we ended up finally lynching him and he flipped scum. Moral of the story is that it IS important if you're town, to continue contributing.
And in that game, I wasn't even an investigative, I was some sort of bulletproof pr town. Horrifically enough, there was another bulletproof pr town, which made me paranoid sr her by the end of the game. Long story.
------
@gamma looking at it outside of the hood, I guess it does seem a little strange. But ausuka and I worked in cooperation in the hood pt, to decide it was best to bring it up at this point of d1. There’s a wagon on probable town - osuka, a stalled one on likely scum – rampage, a sad number of lurkers, deadline is coming in 4 days, and I’m town so that’s a bad wagon. This also makes me further suspect creature, who didn’t answer me about why he voted me.
Claiming vt unprovoked is a suspect move. If town, that paints targets on others’ backs so scum have better chance to nk prs. If scum, that makes sense, like in rampage’s case of AtE. Like I said, he popped in to make a detailed post about being busy but not about the game.
@ausuka why do you have tex & jar as sr?...
Hop… clearly people are not reading as closely as they should. Hop missing ausuka’s important statement about the hood, people not realizing rampage claimed (likely fakeclaim), ausuka saying wave is a vt yet wave said he’s a neighbor (ausuka, what the?...), and probably other instances.

The events that led up to this point tell me there are some hypotheticals:
-if wave flips red as mafia neighbor, then boom, ausuka & I are virtually cleared as town. Happy birthday to us , basically
-now that I think of it more, if wave flips red, what would that mean for osuka’s alignment? However…if wave somehow flips green, then I think osuka should be looked into
VOTE: wavemode
This doesn't change my sr list either, I am willing to lynch any of my scumreads I stated.
off topic: @gamma I just recalled a question you followed up with me about your signature - sorry about the delay in reply! But I am not aware of that anime in your signature. I have watched other anime like Bleach (Aizen being one my fave characters), Trigun, School Rumble, Death Note, One Punch Man, Naruto, the one with the giants that eat people, and so on.

@mod: i voted for performer in 1047
Mostly fixed. The voting history will be fixed in the next VC, but the current wagons should have been fixed. Thank you!

EW.
Please lynch this scumbag.

In post 1048, wavemode wrote:let's be honest, day 1 read accuracy in a large is going to be roughly as good as rolling dice. day 1 lynch accuracy is going to be much worse than that because if a wagon is correct scum will be trying to derail it and if it's incorrect they will be throwing fuel on its fire.
this is all made worse by the fact that the sheer volume of content of a 25p drowns out any one individual's voice. in the grand scheme of things, even if i had fire reads today, i'd never get this town to agree on lynching them anyway, and then they would just get rid of me and move on
my point isn't to not try - i am analyzing the game to a degree. my point is I'm not going to get bent out of shape about day 1 when it's not that effective or consequential and most people's reads are based on flimsy meta, regardless
I disagree. I've found that my initial impressions tend to bear a lot of fruit. People who are lying to you have to get to know you a little bit before their lies are effective.
Also, you didn't start this game with no info. Why haven't you scum-hunted your neighbors? Do you have any thoughts on whether they are more likely to be own or scum? Do you have day chat with them?
In post 888, texcat wrote:No, I think his buddies are still trying to find a wagon that will get some traction.
that's nonsense in a game this large at this point in the day.
I'm inclined to agree, while it's not impossible it's far more likely that we are just early into day one and nobody wants to rush a Lynch at this stage.

This is a fact, and he does it as both alignments.

I’m curious to see how Performer responds to me before I take much further action (I’ll probably delve Performer more in a bit)
If he comes at me, he’s strictly attacking for just analyzing one of my posts. I’m very aware that you could be town, but am leaning towards ScumPerf yet and seeing projection in your posts. Can I see you posting like this as town? Sure, but it’s enough that I’m going to delve further into it until I can figure out what I need or see something else worth putting more time into.
So Performer...how will you respond?
Why did you post this? Now he's self-conscious about the whole thing and will be checking himself.

Ok so I'm not the only one who went "hmm" when I read that. Not sure if we're reading too much into it though.
Lol only if you're scum, or lynchbaity because of play style. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's normal.
pretty sure it's normal to be scumread; nobody will read your perfectly and vice-versa and then add in suspicions and doubt and you have mafia pretty much summed it
194- Attacks Creature for popping in and saying why he's been inactive. Rampage thinks town Creature would give some thoughts rather than just say he has a busy schedule.
509- (three days later)- Rampage pops in and says why he's been inactive. Rampage has a busy schedule but doesn't give any thoughts.
@Rampage: In hindsight, do you think the tell you had is legitimately something that applies to scum?
681 is very meh. The only thing that stood out being the easiest vote/lynch. Really, the second half of 681 applies to 681.
If you find rampages ISO so odd, why are you voting wave?
In post 1013, Hopkirk wrote:@Gamma: see 1004 for A/B.
Why does wave not being bought up before matter?
Because it feels strange as heck that he just pops up as the hot topic
Same, I don't understand why suddenly everyone is on him when he hasn't posted and wasn't talked about before.
Needed a counter wagon

People have been saying osuka is a bad wagon all game without ever touching on his actual play
"The wagon forming looks bad with so many people"
"Nobody else is getting votes"

Iso'd osuka to see for myself instead of believing others.
Saw the analysis of 452 located in 744.
Def not willing to lynch osuka, and I'd be on board with Performer now.
