I kinda imagine that the whole misunderstand over sb9 being a newbie thing and subsequent interactions dont happen as partners
I'm pretty sure there was a lot more to that push than just that, and good part of it had to do with semantics.

I think Firebringer is town, but I always think Firebringer is town, and thus don't want him in my thread.

I would say town does scummy stuff all the time
Scum does stuff that is so townie they could NEVER be scum, or they give up and do nothing

My hands are clean, but there are too many people going at her from too many angles and I respect them enough to know that they respect people enough to know that if she was really town this game they would run all due consideration and due process. To protect her feelings as either alignment, I hope.
Which is why the imperium hard stop ask dropped me cold.

Boon do you think it's productive to separate shelly and bell without flips?

Now you're just being selfish.

I think the mech talk wasn't gonna do us any favor and had reasoning of my own pointed out as well. What do you mean by going against the grain and how did you take that talk yourself? What's your read on Pooky?
Pooky feels null and I have him in the poe atm, although higher than pisskop. I think the townreads there felt 'early'. As I said sirius I had some mindmeld with in early game on strategy which does really help and while I thought your hesitance was townie I don't want you attacking town consensus simply for the sake of being mavericky. Like going against the grain on bad ideas is townie but going against the grain on good ideas can be scummy. I don't want you townreading anarchy lmao
I don't think 4-5 people going along with a half-hearted plan made by someone who is inexperienced by join date is town consensus. Right now your steps to sort Sirius/Titus is Vote them -> Say you are voting them for pressure/give outdated explanation -> ????
The second aspect feels worthless, especially if you wink and say this is for pressure. How is anyone supposed to feel it when you tell everyone what you're doing. Your open thoughts right now give me pause and I feel like you think I just came out of mafia womb (Hint: I haven't)

what does join date have to do with the quality of the plan? and are you talking about sirius?

If what I expect from the pressure is content and not an emotional response then I see no big drawback to telling them I'm voting them for pressure. If I could towncase them I would not need to pressure vote them and in that sense the lack of towniness is real

Ngl unwnd's posts here are a little concerning, particularly the weird elitism about join dates about the validity of a relatively straightforward approach to handling mech. You don't need a decade of experience to think 'huh we could turnstile scum from one thread to win the game'

Yes I was talking about sirius. It's not even joindate, I don't have joindateism or anything like that. It was the way he presented it and what followed it that determined to me that he didn't really think about the potential consequences. I liked this in hindsight

I gave you a very direct answer as to why I don't approve of it.

who all opposed the turnstile plan in this thread other than unwnd? Is 'town consensus' not accurate for this thread? Or do you mean the opposition from the other thread?

Again, 4-5 people sheeping someone's hairbrained scheme is not town consensus

And what makes someone town for simply agreeing? That's the worst dichotomy you could possibly make
I don't get why you keep referring it to town consensus in that moment lol
