In post 1074, mrbungle wrote:the only way nacho is getting lynched if there;s a D3 is if hamlet is a VT or a role that doesn't make him visit people

do you really think that the roles in this game is that town favored? that hamlet is some power role in addition to the masons and the million other claims?
I just reread nacho's earliest posts in the game. He agreed with bacde about Ghostlin looking scummy. And then didn't even list Ghostlin in his reads list. And later said he wanted to wait a day on Ghostlin.

There's the lay of the game. And there's what people say and don't say. Sometimes those streams of data are in conflict.

I am not including any theoretical hamlet role in my thoughts about game balance - just what has been claimed. tracker, voyeur, executioner, [ability thief, vengeful] masons, nexus. And a fisherman who is also a miller as a potentially anti-town offset against all that.

I'm not arguing that hamlet shouldn't die. I think he has to. I'm putting my what-next thoughts in the thread for tomorrow.

jumping to ghostlin next instead of hamlet, though.

I dunno. counter intuitive for scum to do it so late? but bacde was probably going to take the mantle at that point.

this day feels waaaayyyyyy too railroad tracked to be correct if we just lynch hamlet right now

we have bungles pushing us to lynch really quick for no goddamn reason before vegito even posts his report

vegito wants to lynch his report before hamlet even checks in

hamlet hasn't even posted in here yet

we have a miller but no cop

AND we have a nexus

What ghostlin posted on d1 (the "both scum" comment) was a nonslip

he thought about whether or not it would be okay to post "both scum" before he posted it, I'm sure of it

because his defense came so quickly and so naturally

its possible that he was trying to throw us off from the actual number of scum

I'm talking about the final wagon going ghostlin's direction instead of hamlet's. Post 920.

the ONLY thing making me feel good about the possibility of hamlet-scum is that hamlet responded to ghostlin's "vengeful townie" post as though HE ALSO had prior knowledge that a vengeful was in the setup

he didn't ask why ghostlin thought TIP was claiming vengeful or anything

he just sorta continued on the same train of thought

In post 253, Ghostlin wrote:I disagree with Ff's 252 because it opens up a huge pot of WIFOM and 'too dumb for scum.' This isn't a scum read, she reads pretty much town, but the arguments are off.

TNE's overcaution...I don't know if she's nervous or scum. There's no reason to flip-flop on wagons if chk included a vengeful townie and only scum would be afraid of it.

What? A bad call from a venge could wipe out a town PR. Everyone should be concerned about that.

True, but it still doesn't eliminate the WIFOM that exists. There's really no reason to believe TIP is a Venge, and if you want to talk about gambits to get off people's wagons, that'd be a clever one for a scum to set up.

You don't cast votes on what you THINK might happen if a person has a certain PR, you cast votes on what a person DOES during the game.
this looks like it could be scumbuddies talking to each other

i agree that we don't need to quick lynch Hamlet (or anyone else, for that matter) just yet...
as an FYI, CHK recently had a 9 player Pokemon game with 3 scum in it, which ended up screwing us in the end.

The only weird thing afaik is that I'm also a fisherman. I have a menu of one shots I can fish for at night. The more powerful the one-shot the smaller the chance that I will be successful. The best chance items are 25%. My fishing expedition last night was a failure.

http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Fisherman

unlike the wiki description, I didn't get to go fishing on night 0.

there should be a prize for the person who correctly guesses what I fished for. I'll have to think on that.

The very slight chance I'll fish out something useful before I'm dead or the game ends is the only reason I didn't claim miller in my first post of the game. That's been my standard procedure as miller in the past.

:(

I was a non-self-aware miller in a game with 3 cops of various sanities and a role cop once.

I was eventually viewed by the sane cop, of course.
