Last night I dreamed I was police commissioner Gordon. I had a legion of well trained honest police men at my service. I had summoned my brightest detective, Maemuki , to my house for dinner and a chat. After dinner we retired to the living room and I approached my drinks cupboard. "Scotch?" I inquired. "just a small one Commissioner" he replied. I poured both of us a measure of Laphroaig 10 year old each. I sat down opposite him and asked him what he knew on the well known citizen Natirasha. He said that he knew where the upstanding fellow lived but that he had placed a GPS device on Natirasha's car for a previous misdemeanor. I knew then what must be done and that it must be done within the eye's of the law. I sent Maemuki to investigate Natirasha's dealings, businesses and to find out if Natirasha was the upstanding citizen that he made himself out to be. Being the good detective that he was Maemuki delivered his report on Natirasha back to me promptly but also had made a note on the results for his own benefit.

I stand at the end of a sidewalk, waiting for the pedestrian signal to illuminate. Cars whiz back and forth through the intersection. A white man appears on the other side of the street and instructs me to, "Walk." My first step off the sidewalk sends me falling through the pavement and into a spiraling abyss. I look back up. The cars carry about their business without any hint I was ever there. The faceless white man looks at me begins to grin as the words, "Don't Walk," form on the underside of the pavement.
