i've seen this sort of opinion from town often enough, but it still doesn't make sense to me.
Stalling the host vote, as you put it, is pretty damn scummy, considering we've had a conftown IC here for awhile now. Unfortunately there is the possibility that real life is interfering and all of what I said is void but that's a factor in every game. I kind of expect people who sign up to a large game to have a plan for catching up reasonably frequently.
