and i think unwnd's heel turn on me and desperation vote on quiet speaks volumes, i think if he had really been townreading me his reaction to my vote there is very different

but i'm going to take my time and think it all out


standard ELo courtesy reminder: The game can be lost with a single incorrect vote here and it is incrediby disrespectful to your fellow town players to make a vote that can lose the game after only a short period of time with minimal discussion. give everyone a chance to speak. your mind not be changed but for he sake of fairness let everyone talk.

I have found myself compromising on lynches from the start I have not felt great about because i didn't want to ""take control of the game"". While I still stand by this, I am annoyed at myself. I shouldn't have just self-pres'd quiet and i shouldn't have just let norfolk self-hammer. A lot of my takes haven't been perfect but I digress. I was right on quiet. I was on right on BM. I even have a post where I called Turtle uninformed town and then went back on my words. Why? Not sure. However, these are all past grievances. We're here now: I want to believe I'm right on mikul? It was all a means to get others to talk. Some sort of feedback. This never came however. I think that's where I went wrong with just waiting for peta to finally be town and giving him 10+ chances. I didn't want to be over-assertive and scare the newbies, but in turn I let peta coast up until this point and I should've been more forthright. A lot of this whole 'oh peta you're fooling me' was basically me saying 'well peta i could really use your help here! I want you to be town!' but it never came and I should've realized I was never going to get it.

This is where I take control.

Mikul get your head out of your ass and stop tinfoiling me. Your read on Quiet was wrong, I'm not sure why you even had it in the first place.
Lunar, please play to win. I don't know what you're doing but your presence is absolutely necessary. I cannot read you and I don't want to be wrong on you merely because you decided the best you could do is say nothing.
Safebet, if you're not Peta's partner you're gonna have to tell me why.

my gutcheck level take is that safebet is unlikely to be teamed with either you or mikul and that while you/mikul is not impossible i would say it is less likely. all of you look compatible with lunar martian.

the complicating factor is that i am not sure why a team with you on it kills battle mage last night ever when he has said he is firmly in your corner

I'm a bit confused at this stage. I'm still about 85% sure that Mikul is Town. I think safebet is probably who I'm thinking is the most likely candidate for Mafia, but I don't know how to decide between unwnd and peta. They are both people who just sorta seemed like Town but also suggested that they would seem that way even if they were Mafia. I'm not sure how to decide between them.

Peta and unwnd - what are your thoughts about safebet?

I'm gonna be honest and I don't think Lunar with Mikul says 'yes, we kill BM and pit petapan/unwnd against each other!' Because what you're saying is pretty true in regards to BM being in my corner. He was going into this day saying we should look at you next and now he's dead. Who's trying to frame you here if it's not me?

a significant part of the pain in decisionmaking all game is that we were likely forced into a false dilemma i think

the perspective is easy from my end because i know my alignment and certain things don't make sense to me otherwise; obviously if i insert myself into your hypothetical shoes as a town player fearing a me/safebet team is very valid

Makes the calculated choice to shoot at BM and not just shoot in me/you as large proponents of town. Have we been wrong? Have we made mistakes? I? Yeah certainly. I think basically I have to pick between Mafia unwnd who has been sitting back and not doing much and letting town run down the wrong path on its own or Mafia peta who has been actively leading Town down the wrong path. On some pure theory level I think the latter is more likely, as I think it would be unlikely that an SE would use their SE status as an excuse to sit and do nothing as Mafia. Then again, maybe they were trying to teach us a lesson or expecting someone (especially the other SEs) to call them out. Peta not doing more to call out unwnd sooner again makes me think that maybe peta is Mafia, because if peta were town he'd have a stronger motive to call out unwnd for being passive.

D1 was shit creek. BBMolla claimed PR for no reason not even at E-1 and then you had Lunar who just happened to be the doctor, then Norfolk self-hammered because town couldn't make up their mind. i don't know what that last sentence is even supposed to mean? it seems to take the assumed perspective i am town. or that as mafia i wouldn't look like i want to win? i have no idea what you're expecting exactly.
