As for Pandora and Quilford, it's a reference to A Dance with Dragons Mafia. Tammy knows what I'm talking about; Pandora was a scum hydra and Quilford, who is notorious for flaking out and being particularly bored with scum games, flaked out and left his better-scum partner playing with nary a peep.

The post stuck out to me when you made it and I recognised the feeling when it came over me. If I hadn't quoted it, I would have ended up pretty much just parroting its contents. And we at Goal always cite our sources!
Well, if you want to discuss anything, say so. Anything that just occurs to me I will post anyway.
why are you hard reading amrun as scum
her timing has been impeccable except for how quick she read us as town. other than that she is thinking the same thing at the exact time that I am thinking when it comes to her posts in the thread. I mean there are some sites where she would be hailed as the Ulitmate Scum Queen From Hell for doing this as scum so my question is does this fit with her scum meta?

I don't know Amrun's on-site meta very well at all and I only know her face-to-face meta slightly better than that. However, I will now go back and seek whatever it was that made me scumread here - but that thing about Reck is a good place to start on its own.
and whinging about large games wtf
I only ever play large games on special occasions (invitationals or truly irresistible flavour). I much prefer smaller games. And I am not alone!

Yeeeeah okay. I wanted to say that Amrun is more relaxed Today than she was Yesterday and that was the weight lifted from her one scumgame--but that doesn't even make sense with the number of games she's in.
I want to lynch the hell out of Venmar for suggesting multiball/suggesting that AV was killed by scum. Didn't do it with Amrun in Maf.Raptured and I'm still biting myself over that one.
mollie? Mac's read on me. I don't want this tomorrow, I want it
now
.
Boring. So... that's the extent of your intra-hydra discussion, when you keep being curious about me? (Hint: I'm Town.)

I'm a little confused, so bear with me.
I've been skimreading the pre-my-Amrun-scumread pages again because I couldn't pick out the thing that really bugged me about her from an iso. Hopefully this is just a temporary brainfart and I'll remember why I felt so strongly tomorrow or something. I can clearly remember feeling when I was reading of "oh, hang on, that's definitely one for the scum pile" about Amrun so I know it's there
somewhere
but haven't been able to recreate that feeling yet.
While I can't decide whether this slots into place as the thing that was bugging me, Amrun's reaction to the Metal Sonic fake daykill felt weird. For one thing, she was talking here about the prospect of MS undayvigging but, I'm sorry, when has a dayvig ever been able to undayvig after posting their kill in thread? With Amrun's post count, she's probably played in more games (certainly more recent ones) than me, but I can't possibly envisage this being the case. I can't picture it occurring naturally to her and I am therefore led to interpret that she tried to use it as a way to attempt an emotional towntell.
There's also the thing that there was absolutely no reason at the time to think that Metal Sonic's fake dayvig was more likely to be from scum than town. It was exactly the sort of behaviour that we could have expected from reading all of his previous posts. I've seen loads of people who play more than me complaining about a growing meta of faking that kind of thing for no good reason so, again, I find it hard to believe that Amrun saw it as damning. Her whole Metal Sonic scumread in general was weird to me.

That surprised me momentarily but, on reflection, the reaction does chime with what I think I understand about Reck. I can see him agreeing about the concept but I still don't picture it being actually that useful in execution. I also think Amrun must have a lot of other, more important, things to do at this point in the game. It's not as if Reck is a sizeable proportion of the town; there are still loads of us. I don't like it at all.

What I will admit is that Amrun's early Day 1 play looks a bit townier than I remember (roughly up towards the midpoint of the time during which her vote was on KillerApple, to be riskily and guessily precise). I'm less convinced tonight than I was before. But I know there was
something
, some post somewhere that made me go "definitely in the scum pile". I hope I'll find it again soon, even if I am able to see it differently this time. I just want to pin down my own thoughts for clarity's sake.

The same as I was in Day 1; I've dropped a few due to death/ending and picked up a few. This is irrelevant. Why do you always insist on bringing up such irrelevant things? I'm the most active player, or one of the most active players, in all of them, even including my recent distracted v/la.
@CDB: that's so dumb. You've been scum reading me since yesterday with ZERO stated reasons, even when I asked. And now you don't even actually know and one reason you actually give is just fucking awful.
Reck not even knowing who was pretending to be dayvigged isn't a distraction, but suggesting he buck up, yeah that's a fucking distraction. Give me a break.
I've been town reading Reck since early on but if he's going to continue to be dead weight I'd wagon him in a fucking flash, make no mistake. We all know he is capable of better and it's my hope he will get his head in the game before such a thing becomes necessary.
P-edit: oh come on. A) if his role is real it's unlikely he'd be able to undayvig, but b) much more likely he was fake claiming and trying to keep the claim alive because he knew I wasn't going to die which I found scummy as fuck. One of the main reasons I stuck doggedly to my scum read all day long because he kept trying to keep the ruse alive. Plus I didn't think I was the target he'd really pick as town, even for a reaction test.
What is this shit about "there is other town than Reck." Um, yes? He's the most useless of them all. What does that statement even mean? Am I supposed to focus on the whole town equally? Wut?
I'm frustrated with you, cdb, but as scum you'd probably have a more concrete reason than "idk lol"

Reck not knowing who faked dayvig was a distraction for him, not for everyone. A "let's prod the townread!" wagon would be a distraction for everyone.

But if he were faking as town for a reaction why would you expect him to "undayvig" but maintain the claim? That's not how town play that gamble. They'd just say "nope not a dayvig but good reactions I'm so great" when they were done with it, which is of course what he did do even if he was late on deciding he was done with it - and, I'm sorry, but he was so obviously enough of an arse to do that as town. He's all about selfish theatrics, which is not an alignment tell. Your continued and vehement scumread on him did not carry sufficient self-doubt of that nature.
What is this shit about "there is other town than Reck." Um, yes? He's the most useless of them all. What does that statement even mean? Am I supposed to focus on the whole town equally? Wut?
Not what I'm saying, though poorly put across, I'll admit. What I'm trying to say is that, though Reck might be a straggler, it's not as if the game is being killed by his inactivity. There's plenty enough going on that abandoning all of it to ostentatiously prod him is simply unnecessary. Hell, just get an actual scumread to lynch-1 and wait for him to practicality-hammer.
I'm frustrated with you, cdb, but as scum you'd probably have a more concrete reason than "idk lol"

Cdb, if metal sonic had reacted by saying "oh okay nice reaction I'm not a dayvig" I would probably have invited if it came off as genuine. He didn't do this and he didn't play it as I thought town would. We obviously disagreed and I was wrong in the end, but if you think, what, that I was scared to unvote as scum or something? I don't really understand your logic here. I can assure you that I would have almost definitely handled that differently as scum. Take that how you will.
Also, I didn't say I WOULD wagon reck for funsies, but that I was tempted to. But actually, if someone else (multiple of them) were focused on killing Reck, I would not save him and would probably lend my vote. My town read on him is not strong enough that I wouldn't benefit from the information of his flip and who joined the wagon when would be informative. I didn't join the wagon on Reck. I'm much happier with a vote on someone I think has a higher than average chance of flipping scum. But me tipping that Reck needs to put on his town pants is not a "distraction" and painting it as such is really silly.
Tierce, I didn't say you called me a lurker. I said that to demonstrate that how many games I am in is NOT relevant to anything, including my "state of mind" and I don't understand why you brought it up at all.
In post 1086, Amrun wrote:I kinda wanna flash wagon Reck to kick him in the pants
tbf i need a kick in the pants, I'm so out of the loop this game
Honestly, me too. I realized starting the day that I have very fuzzy reads on a lot of people. People making cases and giving me wagons to analyze would make this a lot easier.

What I'm getting at is that you seemed to be pushing for an easy lynch using a convenient scumread on a player who was aggravating people. If you'd just said "Metal Sonic is an annoying idiot, let's lynch him," I'd be more likely to believe you.
I'll think about it more, though. If I don't find the 'wham' post that made up my mind before, I'll need to reconsider my priorities as a result. There have certainly been doubts introduced to my mind tonight.
Think you've misread me ever so slightly on Reck but not maliciously so can't be arsed to pursue, it's getting late.
