Well yeah, but also because it was part of a larger mechanic. Masons could've realized that their not having a single qt suggested there was a mechanic that dealt with QTs, but it seems like I was the only one who noticed there was something odd going on.

Well, that was unexpected. I was certain I would have to fight it out with GlaDOS tomorrow, probably fail, and the game would end in a loss. Not that I would complain.

Amusingly, I note that my reads were more accurate than I expected, and my only votes were on scum. The way inHim bussed Fluttershy/LobsterCatapult was something I've never seen him do before, and it never occurred to me that they had missed one night entirely, which cost the mafia their chance to kill Primate early. Finally, the redirect claim was so fantastic I believed it, since I could not imagine why mafia would make up such a lie. In fact I still can't, since that lie cost them their last chance at victory. LobsterCatapult could have sided with me against GlaDOS, and perhaps survived in LYLO.

Speaking of GlaDOS, in case anyone is interested, I can write out the case I had on him later. There was more to it than the things I mentioned.

Setup: Friendship! The mechanic was creative and worked pretty well. Although, it does depend on the type of players: If your whole playerlist aren't the chatty type at night it could have been a failure. Thankfully that didn't happen.

Modding: You're pretty okay, and I suppose being a hydra account makes you twice the mod you already are. I think. Good job finding replacements; I have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed your modding style. A commendable effort for that audio scene which I'm sure spread the joy of laughter far and wide among the playerlist.

Discord play:

I was single minded towards inHimshallibe that if he does not claim cop during massclaim when there is a Discord Godmother and claimed miller, I would lynch him. Not the right reason but correct choice.
LC derped up in two ways although a good part of it wasn't in his control.

My reads were absolutely terrible this game bar PP. Central on the lynch of WLC and Jahudo, would have gone for CES if he'd survived, was thinking Feysal was scum until the last night and the one scum I did get right I didn't pursue. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh. I was going to argue for the lynch of Lobstercatapult today, but that's a woulda. Jahudo lynch was the worst. I talked myself into that for such terrible reasons. Hey, least we won.

@Mod: Good fun game with good balance and you were great with the replacements. Thanks for putting up with my inactivity. Once I found a place to rent I had to move fairly quickly. I was going to request replacement so you could get someone active in, but that was after Ojanen and Espeon did the same about three posts apart so it seemed a dick move. +1 awesome point for investigation proof GF without a cop.

Oh drat, I remember thinking

several

times during the game that it looked like there were

far

too many views of the Party QT on Night Two. Sadly, I simply ended up attributing this to the Mods not being able to contain themselves and peeking at our QT at every available opportunity. (And I guess this must have been true, since Fluttershy/LobsterCatapult apparently did not end up getting access to the N2 QT). Still, my paranoia almost got me to the conclusion that scum could read QTs, which would have more quickly led me to the conclusion that Fluttershy/LobsterCatapult was scum.

Thanks for the game, all. I think this game goes to show that Replacements are Magic, too!

Almost forgot:

I think this game was nicely balanced. The scum effectively had a role cop with a twist (giving insight into player's thought-processes at night) that should have let them more efficiently kill off the three confirmeds and plan discorderly plots. It's a right shame they didn't get the information on Night Two like they should have.

The modding was just fine, too.

I have a bit more time to post now, so time to share some more of my thoughts.

The setup sounds fun, but I can't really comment since it never really involved me. Given that Rainbow Dash was used in the flavor explanation for Gilda's ability, it is rather sad that I was never in a single QuickTopic. There was nothing to criticize about the modding either.

Now, something about me. You may know that I much prefer playing as town. For this reason, my choice of games to replace in is influenced by my read of the available slot. If it looks like town, I go for it. In this game, I read Espeonage in isolation and skimmed the rest of the game before deciding. The choice was easy really, his first post read as a strong town tell to me, as did this post. These posts pretty much confirmed in my mind that the role was a main character, what else could be his favorite pony and appear in reaction pictures? His reaction to receiving the role was what I would expect from a fan who got an actual town role, while I thought mafia would be disappointed if it was a false claim and not the real thing. On top of everything else, his initial refusal to replace out indicated he was happy with his role, which made me think he could be a power role. Naturally, I jumped in.

The story does not end there, but I must go much farther back to continue it. The one responsible for introducing me to ponies was my scumbuddy hitogoroshi in Court of Gods. After staring at his stupid avatar for a while I simply had to figure out what it was, and it turned out to be Rainbow Dash making a particularly ridiculous face. Thus she became the first pony I knew the name of, and has remained my favorite ever since. I learned about Twilight Sparkle only later, playing with Twilight Sparkle in Storm of Swords. It took me a while to realize it was the actual name of the pony in their avatar though.

So, that brings me back to when I was deciding whether to replace in. I was pretty sure Espeonage had gotten a main character as his role, but which one? Rainbow Dash was just the type of pony I could see eliciting that reaction from a fan, and that was indeed my guess. Imagine my delight when I got the exact pony I wanted to be, the one I had

expected

to be.

It is time.

I've had that bookmarked since Court of Gods. If we had won that game, I would have made it my victory theme. Took me a few months, but I got to use it at last!
