Skitter, you had me scared when you kept floating the idea of Creative as town. Accepting Creative as town would have made us lose, and I was cutting my options pretty close.
I still think my scumgame needs work--we only won because of a lucky shot on Night 1 and Creative's claim. But overall, it was cool.

Seeds, you were excellent. We could not have won if you were here from the beginning, period.

i really never did actually think creative was scum it was kinda like: the claim can't live and hopefully he's actually scum
but like i was never fully-satisfied with that and i was kinda like prepared to eat the loss but like it's still kinda annoying to eat the loss
It's unfortunate that Creative fake claimed - we weren't even going to vote him from my POV lol.
I'm not really sure that forum is for me tbh. I had some free time so it was interesting to try, but it takes soooooo long.
Was nice playing with you guys though. Was an experience.

One thing that I don't think I mentioned in the scum PT is the final time I waffled away from Creative. When he claimed--and after Whemestar talked me out of counterclaiming--I knew that we had to take Creative's side and eliminate SAMCRO, even if it meant both scum being on the wagon. Ergo, I pretended to believe the tracker claim. I really was being shady.
Regarding the forum not being for you, Seeds, it's totally understandable. The day phases here are longer than my preference, too.

Once again, thank you all for playing!
Players, you're encouraged to keep playing newbies as long as you like, of course, but I humbly suggest trying out different games and styles, if you're brave enough and feel like checking out other game styles and sizes!
If you liked the "solve the setup" interactions with a semi-open setup like the NewD3 setup:

Before playing here at mafiascum, I used to play forum games on much faster-paced sites: 12 to 24 hour days/12 hour nights. I still play that format once in a while, but after not enjoying the slower pace initially, within a couple of games I actually preferred a slower pace and not having a mafia game eat up ALL of my spare time for a week or two. Another "advantage" (some may not agree!) is that it's possible to play more than one game at a time on mafiascum due to the slower pace.
If there are aspects of this game that you enjoyed, it might worth trying another game or so and see if you adapt to the pace.

Whemestar was a good partner. He listened to recommendations, he pushed Creative into making that claim, he saved my bacon from Andante, and he let me spend the entirety of Day 3 bussing him.

I was very impressed with all the newbies in the game. You all played really well. I was somewhat impressed with my scumgame this game even though I hate rolling it.

I kind of figured it was wheme/kaz at the end as no one was hammering me and so that meant both scum were already on my wagon :S, like even if I was scum I would have quickhammered to stop talking

I wanted to talk about your fake claim and what went wrong with it. There were two main issues:
The person you fake claimed wasn't around to react to it. How SAMCRO reacted to a fake guilty could have given you and the other town players some info for figuring out his alignment. Although if he'd been around on Day 2, his play might have helped in that respect anyway. But, with his absence, the most valuable data from a fake guilty wasn't going to be available.
Even though SAMCRO wasn't around, the way other players reacted was also potentially alignment indicative, though if there had been a tracker or friendly neighbor in the game, they might have counterclaimed you. Being able to look at how other players reacted, how quickly they voted etc., was data, though. If you had treated the fake claim as a gambit, and revealed that after everyone had a chance to react/vote, it might have shaken things up and resulted in a scum elim.
You didn't play the fake as a gambit, though. And that's often a recipe for two mis-elims -- the town player you got elimed and yourself!

Chalking this up to Creative doing a stupid Tracker claim. All reads in dead chat were based on Creative scum. SAMCRO was blatant newbie town
