this is why it's so important for game designers to get this straight WHEN THEY'RE DESIGNING THE GAME and BE UP FRONT WITH THE PLAYERS ON HOW THEIR ACTIONS RESOLVE.

I should really stop playing this game, I consistently singlehandedly lose games for my faction.

Kthx was a 1-shot 'simulator' which he used to force Heartless to target scum N1.
I was Evil-Morty, and could control RBD to perform the scumkill each night. I controlled him to kill Elbirn every freaking night but was prevented by various means. N1 RIP guarded him, N2 d3x swapped with RBD but I was jailed so our kill failed.

I almost fakeclaimed Morty when Elbirn was Mortyfishing but decided against it out of paralyzing fear.

GG to all. I think the massclaim hurt town a lot more than it helped and definitely made the game boring.

Except there is no paradox. Things that happen to other players resolve before the actions they take. Just because it is an op roleblocker doesn't mean it should violate NAR.

Still mod clarification would have helped.

No regrets here. I did have the setup mostly right, and if not for NAR issues, I would have joined RBD.

ok, now i see what you're saying and yes, that was an error. my apologies, i am not familiar with NAR and i personally don't use it as a mod. the vanillaize should've resolved before the vote steal.

I actually thought we had lost right there until Aristo started acting like he was scum and it was kthnx-KJ-Titus/lufan at that point because I didn't think KJ would have made that move as town. The fact that and even if Aristo was scum he was forced to buss kthnx tomorrow meaning I had one less town to convince was more, but the Aristo wagon actually scared me into not voting him.

How? I was vanilla so had no abilities past N1 outside of extreme bastard modding.

oh yeah, that was a nice little surprise mod note. vanillaizing you didn't actually strip you of your "you make the scum kill" status.

RBD, I don't think anyone should feel ashamed for this loss, and the scum team played well.

It could be rationalized that it was not your power, but KJ's. Which caused this, depending if it was to control you, your role name, or your actual role.

Anti, thanks again for taking over.
Even if there were a few bumps along the road, you did your best with what you got.

I had fun guys.
Well, Night Action Spec post-massclaim was boring when it took over the game, and I think it may have cost us (these are the reasons I opposed to the massclaim in the first place). And without knowing how the mod intricacies worked, it really muddled us up badly.

I'd like to play with you all again (even RBD, despite what annoyances I had at the end there).

Yea that's what kiwi told me. He lost whatever modifiers were in his role PM (compulsive, unblockable) but the ability to control him was tied to my role. I think if RBD wasn't turned vanilla then the Elbirn kill would've gone through N1.

I mean the mod originally listed him as dead and then probably realized it wasn't an unblockable kill anymore.

Hey, so I was confscum on the last day. If I hadn't been lying D1, the game COULD NOT HAVE CONTINUED.

I'm just gonna admit that I was fucking terrified for the entire day that someone would realize that and you'd lynch me. It was actually the main reason I votestole kthx, apart from the plan when I saw my role PM to votesteal a scumbuddy.

Yeah I don't disagree at all with the rationale that rbd could still be manipulated. The vanillaize needed to be on kj to stop that.

Honestly we didn't want to kill you because we knew you were a mislynch waiting to happen. Frankly the worst thing town did this game was let me dictate actions on n1. The game wasn't broken by mass claim, but you let me make mass claim a force for scum.

d3x targeting us was supposed to be the failsafe against roleblock/redirect. :igmeou:

D3x was never gonna target you though. He was one of the people who were going to ignore me and do something else. So was RIP. I may be shit at reading alignments but I'm pretty good at reading people. :P
