If all hope of focussing outside that three will be lost, which sounds like you have already locked them in as scum, why does BTD's and Scott's input matter?

Because, again: while I never assume I'm wrong, I always expect to be wrong. If I'm right about my reads...sure, yes. BTD6's input and Scott's input is irrelevant: they'd be town, so it wouldn't matter that all focus would be off of them.

If I'm wrong on so much as one read, however...then darn right, BTD6 and Scott's input could matter, because they could be the actual scum who eluded me. This effectively answers the second part of your question. Yes I think {ploben, PantherPunt, Dunnstral} is the scumteam. Yes, I think that strongly. No, I don't think that with such conviction, absolute 100% belief, that I would at this point willingly focus all of my attention on those three. So darn right, if BTD6 hasn't shown up by now, I'd be suspicious.

Fair warning: I am going t be VERY suspicious of anyone jumping on the Ranger wagon before she has a chance to state the case she has been promising.

For the record, I do have a hard-deadline for this case, where I'm going to post it regardless of circumstances. I'm not sharing this hard-deadline, because if my scumreads were wrong and scum exist outside, they could lurk it out, hope to wait for me to post my case, and then once posting it, take whichever stance they feel is most convenient. By not telling them what it is, they're forced to assume it's at some date later than they can get away with: they must post in-thread or get prodded, and if they post prod-dodge content which is avoiding the relevant discussions...they're gonna get called out on it.

When I ask a question, it is an accusation. As above. Demanding attention, demanding an answer. Not asking.

If you have genuine reads, what do you expect the reactions to be?

Depends on player experience with me, actually. I expect players with none to be confused. There's town confusion over how my reads work, and scum confusion over how my reads work. I detailed this in Friends and Enemies and Enemies. (It's one of the techniques I used to catch you! :D) I expect players with extensive experience with me to more ask about specific players on there: "I get your reads on X, Y, and Z, but why this read on A, B, and C?". From who they are asking about, and sometimes the way they are asking, I can get a better grip on their alignment. With people who have limited experience with me, I expect them to have some understanding of how my lists work, but still make mistakes. I look for whether those mistakes feel sincere or fake, and if sincere, whether they accomplish something as town or as scum.

How can your read be so strong?

When you see my case...you'll understand why. Short version short: all three have had many scum posts, with no town posts, and heavily-incriminating interactions with one another, up to and including empty distancing while simultaneously defending and deflecting.

if Ranger doesn't post her case a reasonable time after mhsmitch has finished his readthrough and commented, I will seriously think about it.

I also said that I wanted content from other players. Namely, duppin.
BTD6 and now mhsmith were the main two. They were not the only two.
I will give my cases at a time when I am satisfied with the content of all the slots not in my top tier.
I still want more from BTD6 (though it's a start), and mhsmith is catching up (so we need to let him finish), which gives time for duppin to post.

Hey Panther.

It's actually funny because I pretty much hate lemons. But that game was well worth immortalizing w an avatar, even if we did lose (and making it to day 2 is still above median for my wolfing ).

Game-related: still catching up. I'm not seeing the Dunn case. Seems similar to the town!dunn I've skimmed in other games, at least at a glance. Will read more carefully after my first pass through to see if I've missed something important though.

Game started early on Sunday. This was the beginning of the game, before much content could be produced.
My cases on most players were given early on Wednesday: three days into the game.
Since then, we've had Thursday, Friday, and now Saturday where I have not posted the remainder of my cases.
Ergo, I have been holding back on giving the remaining cases for three days (I thought I posted the cases on Tuesday, guess not according to timestamps), not six.

Off the cuff, I think plobens lurker vote at 509 was pretty crap. Much of the rest of his stuff feels null to me. Bs'ing around early is fine and IMO pro town, but it's not like wolves can't do that.

Wrt karnos specifically, people are representing a solid meta read of him that I don't have since I haven't played w him before. I'd be lying if I said I liked his work through 650, but it's not like I'm meta diving him ASAP to develop that opinion.

Wrt chip I don't think I really have a developed opinion so far.

@panther: meh. I think ranger is smart enough to know how to vomit up fake cases as wolf. Not sure "why aren't you doing it right now" is indicative. I dunno, I've only played w wolf!ranger once, and that was just for one (very short) game day.

I don't write the cases in advance. I move from multiple computers, so I can't exactly store it as a notepad file or something. The case is all in my head, and will continue to be there until I start writing it, and only after it is written will it be posted. I don't do notes. I don't check back on sections of the game unless I have reason to. For better or worse, it's all mental until it becomes completely physical. So, no. There's no 'fabrication' needed.

That was actually a scumtell, not that anyone from that game picked up on it. I laid out all my cards on the table, for the town cred it'd gain me. This is what I do as town instead: bait players with

half

my hand, but not revealing the whole thing. It lures people in.
