response to GL's earlier posts - i think hel is townie and i think norwee is scummy. i think norwee would know better as to scumread someone for "fluffposting". another thing irking me is his approach to my slot. i feel like whenever i try to innitiate conversation/discussion about his read on me i get ignored, unless i keep prodding him, only for him to pop up later and go "ah yes would still wagon datisi"

i've not felt like this in past games we were in together because those were different games? i was gonna bring up My Recent Meta argument but mena's beat me to it. another thing is that i also trying to play differently, reason being that my performance in large games has consistently been... poor. see krazy's post-apoc upick, where almost all my reads were wrong, i got annoyed/demotivated, started lurking, and then got lynched in mylo-but-not-really (the joy of multiball), or, hell, even GnR3. i'm trying to approach the game differently, hopefully having better reads by actually taking my time.

i've skimmed what i've missed, and seeing it's mostly mech talk, right now my brain is not working nearly well enough to offer a meaningful comment on mechanics, other than the obvious "don't invest just one person" and "ico's call on shipments".

this is usually the part where i ask ico to talk to me about his reads, but for obvious reasons...

I don’t think so? S_S mostly just feels town here, although I can’t explain it that well. That said, I also don’t read him great generally. I think he’s someone I’d like to try to sort more confidently today but earlier his absence was NAI as I think he was busy at the weekend

RR I thought seemed like newbtown from his “I’m gonna scumread you because I don’t know how to read you” but then I realised that he’s been on site for like 5 years and has 2000 something posts so I’m a little less sure there now

Well, Maki makes some sense to me. I agree her coming back and having nothing to say on all the events is scum-indicative. My pool of 3 though would be [Norwee, maxwell, Radical Rat].

Radical Rat's early Menalque read where they say they want to lynch him because they can't read him is kinda openly scummy. It either comes from scum angling to make it look like a post which scum would never make, so it looks like town, or town who really just doesn't care about how they look - since that post can very easily be perceived as scummy, and town most of the time care about how they look too.

The problem is that if Notty is scum and NK is town, we practically hand scum a mislynch if he's on.

If notty is town and NK is scum, we had better hope Datisi and Moment are town. Otherwise free mislynch and NK floats. With username's tunnel, I don't see anyone else getting executed if the investigation flips tea.

Okay, but they have 50 posts and that was their first one. Even if it was a weird post, are you bothering to read the rest of their content or are you just picking at something early and simplistic to latch on to because you're not really trying to scumhunt?

You don't need multiple reasons to town/scumread someone in a holistic sense, Maxwell. Things can often get blurry and unclear when you factor in more and more elements. I like to hang onto 1 or 2 town or scum-indicative reasons.

For the rest of Radical Rat's posting though: They have this style where they propose a hypothesis, then provide evidence that points away from the hypothesis, but then make a conclusion matching the hypothesis anyway. I find that kind of weird hedging scum-indicative and they've done it a few times now.

If you have reason to believe they could be a tomboy daughter, let me know why and I'll back off.

I'll admit my early stance on Menalque was trash, yeah. I attributed too much of my confusion to him when in reality it was due to several of the people shitposting, as well as my own mental state at the time. I also expected myself to caught up tunneling him and figured getting him out of the way fast was the best way around that.

I'm still not at all confident in reading him, but I'm definitely not still in favor of essentially policy clowning on him.

Not executing nk is absolutely the wrong play but fuck it might as well hand the game over to scum
