eh this is why i said a long time ago that i didn't think seeing his response to pressure was going to be that useful -- he responded to pressure in pretty much the same way in both his scum and town games (basically like this, pretty nonchalant)

That's fair enough, I obviously don't have the advantage of a meta on him yet.

my lukewarm take is that those returning posts from wu are not townie at all, and in fact might even be scum!indicative considering they're a half-baked take that don't seem to be applicable to the game (or like, that he's not applying) and a fencesit read on nero

but something something bigger scum to fry very little info etc

I may have more to say on Monkey later, but fua asked about why I scumread Nord over monkey and I think a key difference for me is that monkey is that I get the impression monkey believes what they are saying while Nord doesn’t. I also kind of liked 518 because it was entitled in a way that I think is more common from town.

I haven’t fully processed Datisi’s recent posts, but a few things. I’m influenced by Ari’s strong townread of Datisi, which I think is worth giving some value to. I think the vote on Nordom would be a bit strange from Datisi-scum (exception is if scum with Nord, but as a general rule at this stage of the game I tend to read people on the assumption of others being town). The waffly comment on me in 348 feels like something Datisi would just decide to not say as scum because it doesn’t add anything but is a thought I could see Datisi having as town.

Sorry, forgot to say reason for Nord vote being strange is that it would perpetuate the argument of Datisi being opportunistic

ok for those interested in meta, i looked more at wu past games and he did disappear for 2 days while he was the top wagon as scum, so there's that.

but then also found this quote from datisi about wu in a game where wu was town:

like i get it could be a personality trait or wtv but it just seems like something more likely to come from scum wanting to appear more active and engaged than they actually are

Which posts from HEM gave you that impression? I thought the ‘I have a life outside of this’ argument is AtE and NAI.

Large games should consolidate D1 as fast as possible or we will end up at 100+ pages for D1 and that's just annoying later in the game.

Large games are about compromise early on and moving things forward. We will get more info out of running up these Jabronis than we will out of you single voting dragons.

I understand, but you are not the only person who gets to decide what the consensus options are. I think getting votes against Nordom would be quite possible, and only his absence is preventing that. I would hate to eliminate the wrong person for such a bad reason.

I can VOTE: Nordom if my lone vote is such a problem, though I question why it is only me you are cajoling when I am hardly the only person not voting for monkey or the general.

at first i was like HEM's "lol" post looked like deflection

but then when i saw the arguments recently, i thought ari was being a little unreasonable. i felt HEM asking for elaboration on the entire list was fine while Ari said things like "pick one" which seems like a way of saying "ha you didn't do what i asked you to do, you're being unreasonable" it was kind of the way it was said too

i think the arguments like "you ghosted the thread" and "you didn't pick up on my "trapcard" read of STD" aren't super meaty either.
