Well at least you didn't kill the man on Thanksgiving. Hopefully he got one last decent meal in his system. With the final vote cast, I'm not even sure the largely apathetic town is even paying attention as Erratus Apathos draws his last breath. He's extinguished by the rope to little fanfare with no one in attendence.

But he appears to be the correct choice as after his death the mod has not asked anyone for night choices. That means you can just go to sleep at night without worrying about sneaking around or having people come in and cut you to bits while you dream.

I felt a little bit bad about having a misleading title for the set-up. But "Know what another player's role is on Day 1 Before they do Mafia" didn't have a good ring to it. The set-up was actually predetermined, the role drafting was just to decide who got what role. For that I randomly weighted each player and picked whatever role was at the top of their selection list for their Draftee. I made the list for role drafting to create a semi-open mechanic to the game. The Set up was:

Mafia:
Vanilla who knows town vanilla
Lover who knows mafia vanilla
Watcher who knows town one-shot-day-vidge

Town:
Mason pair, one of which is mod confirmed
Doctor who knows vanilla
Lover who is paired with scum
One-shot-day-vidge
Tracker

The set-up was for me to see what throwing more vanillas into a game would do to player interest/interactions and for me to adjust my meta away from role heavy games. I think the Doc save on Night 1 really helped the town get a bit of momentum, but was surprised Mana didn't do anything to prevent the RR lynch. And CKD's correct vidging really sealed the deal for the town.

I was hoping the mechanic of no role reveal from lynches would get more abuse by the mafia, but I think with their numbers whittling down rather quickly any offensive strategy went out the window. I was really surprised that EA would claim jailkeeper as last surviving mafia. That's an assured death sentence as each night you will be creating new confirmed innocents. I also hadn't taken into account the fact that with no role reveal, the scum wouldn't ever know if they had removed the Doctor from play. This was a mistake on my part and I think it effected the game balance quite a bit. I actually didn't even think the scum would ever know there was a Doc in the game since protection odds are generally low.

I also tried a more hands-off approach to mod'ing with less prods and looser deadline/replacement enforcement. I think this was disastrous and will not be trying that again.

Anyway, thanks for hanging in there guys. I do hope you got some enjoyment out of the game.

I'm glad I was right about farside. I didn't think she made any sense as scum with Adel, but I would have been frustrated if I headed off her lynch and then let her get off with a win as scum.

Sorry Raging Rabbit. I really thought you were the last scum, with EA only being a possibility if you weren't. Your interactions with scum all seemed to fit. I kind of wish Mana would have spoken up about doc protecting you night 1, though.

Thanks for modding Shaft.ed. I wish I could have played a less lurky role in this game, but alas. Considering I had Tracker at the top of my list and Natirasha was a tracker, I had no idea that the pick a player thing was somewhat of a lie. I don't think the game was that skewed, though. The scum were hurt significantly by lurking, and the town being willing to lurker lynch. Hitting lurking scum day 2 with the FL lynch was a huge help to town, and helped set up the Cream lynch next. After those two were dead, the town pretty much had the game locked up, with Korts and CKD making little sense as scum and me being mod-confirmed town.

Good job town, I never really thought it was EA.

I was just a vanilla, but considered claiming Mana's role to confirm him and possibly myself for not NKing him. Turns out that since he targeted me N1 it would've been a full confirmation for us both, so shame about the quicklynch. Also Mana really should've spoke up.

Thanks for modding, shaft.ed. Very interesting setup, whose full potential wasn't reached in this game mostly because of low activity. Had fun though.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that as well. I think you might have done better just pointing it out yourself. Probably would have gotten some town cred.
