I thought he was scummy earlier, but his outrage over his lynch feels like it's coming from town. Also, nobody really seems to care if he gets lynched and nobody is pushing for a counter wagon so I don't think he'll flip scum.

I don't know the corresponding jargon you guys use for 'creating a new train and suddenly lynching someone who was not previously among leading lynch candidates'. The forum I used to play on referred to that phenomenon as 'going to narnia'.
Ohhh I guess a flashwagon if it's really last minute
If it's HitAlt I'm town. I'm reasonably confident he's scum with jjh rn and I want one of them

Flashwagon or quickwagon, usually. Deadline wagon if this occurs as a result of an impending deadline.

I've also heard the term "Chinese fire drill" but I don't think that one's too common.

Why do you think asking pointless questions is scum indicative?

In a vacuum, it's not. But if it's done alongside the absence of AI / sorting questions, it's a form of active lurk.

It's not HitAlt sorry.
As repeatedly stated, if we get one more vote on JJH I'm declaring intent, but I want to wield the hammer.

Maybe your definition of a sorting question is different from mine. What do you consider to be a sorting question?

I feel like you've said you don't like the wagon composition on JJH, and I'm kinda of agreeing, but I think HWS is just on the towny side of null, so I'd like to figure out how to best reconcile to get some lynching going.

Like, my town bin is: You, ruru, ofhz, MathDino, NSG (lean), HWS (lean) and HitAlt (lean).
What's the best lynch we can assemble out of that green-list?

How about this

Well, that’s a complex question and I’m on my phone so you’re going to get a simple answer.
Two parts:
1) a sorting question leads to a read.
2) a sorting question is predicated on an alignment indicating factor.

To my viewpoint a lot of your questions have been missing (2), and I feel like I have no idea what your read state is, so I’m not sure about (1) but I grant that you could be holding back reads for ~reasons~ but if so then you’re leaving me to go entirely off (2) and I’m not liking what I’m seeing.

So, what reads have you derived and why?

Zero and ofrhz please have another read of my ISO.

jjh and HitAlt are scum.
I am not getting lynched today. Literally in any scenario.

Find another vote for JJH and I’ll declare intent / hammer.
Or case off the green list and let’s get some murder going.
Time to force folks off the sidelines.

Zoronos:
I'll object to your (1) on the basis that not every sorting question will get an alignment indicative answer, but I think a better version is to say that a sorting question is one that may lead to a read. And I haven't been sharing my reads because I don't really see a reason to talk that much about my townreads, and I don't feel like my scumreads are better than random this game.
(2) is tough because very few questions are as simple as "if he answers this way he's town, if he answers that way he's scum". So yes. A sorting question has to be based on an alignment indicating factor-- "what's your favorite color" will never be a sorting question, even if they answer red :P But for me, there's really only one alignment indicating factor: whether thoughts are genuine or faked.
My sorting questions are predicated on the difference between what scum sometimes think a townie would do and what a townie would actually do. In asking questions, I'm looking for an answer that will help widen that gap, so that scum are more likely to respond in a way that doesn't look quite right.

it's not that i don't care if he gets lynched, i've kind of been waiting to see if anybody off the wagon would do anything at all

i feel like we're just going to be back at this exact same point tomorrow if we do some compromise here.

JJH hasn't towned to me in the slightest, and with his soft i want him to claim so that we still have time to do anything if he
does
claim a PR.

by the way, the "nobody is pushing for a counterwagon" assumes both that scum aren't bussing and that scum are active enough and have enough ability to actually push a counterwagon in the first place. i really don't think it's a good reason to start townreading someone you otherwise don't townread at all.

it's certainly possible that scum are just content with this being the default lynch and so that's the reason for the stall, but it doesn't feel that way to me.

by the way, for someone who's softed PR, JJH really does not seem to care about making himself town and getting the wagon off of him.

instead of just doing things like making a case, it's:

i also have yet to really look through JJH's meta, but if i find that in his town games he
doesn't
do this "one liners only and not really all that engaged with this game"...

i don't actually know what i'm going to do. sigh loudly to myself, i guess.

thinking about it i'm getting slightly bad feelings about math but i'm not sure how much of the "low-activity math" phase we're still in
