chennis was tunneling TD pretty heavily which makes me wonder whether the kill on chennis TD is claiming was factional and self-serving.

It's not a counterclaim a town rose makes, a move that a town rose does, and it's not a vote a town rose makes in that situation. There is nothing town about this, so I take it as a scum claim.

The only move is to vote Ali right now, for taking those things at face value and immediatly wanting to vote the 1v1.

like your situation with croag is complicated because I have to decide "is noms scum for trying to guide shots away from them at the end of D1 because they fakeclaimed rose" or "is Croag trying to make a play and trying to lynch noms today to try to secure a win"
